Back to life, back to reality...

Is it just me, or was that a terrible song from the 90's? Golden Skateworld calling out to anyone else?

Anyhoo. Speaking of calling! I'm really starting to feel God's tug on my heart regarding foreign missions. Urbana was just the beginning, and as great as it was, my natural tendency to be cynical kicked in. "Of course I wanna do this now...I'm at a conference with ten zillion people who wanna do it!" Strangely, the coming back to the "norm" only intensified that desire.

But naturally, the destination and the method are unknown. Maybe the decision to keep a French minor (which could be completely worthless in the long run?) was God-inspired to begin with? Granted, I've never been out of this hemisphere...YET! What's funny is I'm not even that good at French? Quoi-ever.

So this leaves me wondering, is that what God calls us to in the first place? To do stuff that doesn't make a lick of sense to us, in order to get closer to the point where we can help someone else make sense of who He is?

What does it even MEAN to "make sense"? Does something only "make sense" if it's arrived at through reasoning?

Then I played philosopher.

(DISCLAIMER: I assume no responsibility if your skull fractures from reading this, because I don't really understand it myself.)

1) MAKE---implies to manufacture or create
2) SENSE---implies sensibility, the idea that something that can be gathered from one of our (five?) SENSEs and then used to rationally justify the occurrence or existence of something else.
3) Thus, in order to MAKE SENSE you have to assume that SENSE can, indeed, be manufactured or created.
4) If SENSE can be created, that means that anything we pick up via the process of sensory perception (had to throw in some anatomy) must have been created also.
5) Assuming a thing is created, it has to also have a creaTOR...
6) Skipping a few steps and finding that the Creator is all-powerful and has made everything in existence, there's only one conclusion left:
___________________________________________________
7) God is the only entity that truly MAKES SENSE.

Hope you didn't explode...if you find some fault in soundness please let me know...this kid is far from perfect.
