Title: The Dance of a Thousand Cherry Blossoms (Part 2)

Author Note: : D Daddy pointed out Marluxia, of which, I forgot, so I thought I'd do a second part! xD ; Sorry, I have yet to finish CoM so I always forget those who were in it...
Summary: "Thank you."
A part of her has to wonder, as they move on, why he hasn't used that vibrant display from earlier as they progress. It's not as if there are any more than before, but it seems rather useful to allow it to remain and engulf those that do attack. She doesn't want to ask because maybe it's foolish. She doesn't understand him or his power and if she said something about it, he might have taken it the wrong way.
The other part of her doesn't want to know because there's a good chance he might use it again.
Flowers are pretty things, she won't argue, but once the spell of awe and surprise wore off, there was a sudden emptiness left behind and a fear that coiled in the pit of her stomach. How could she forget in that moment what it reminded her of? She can't say she's afraid of a power that protected her, especially when she didn't seem to express any fear until later. What gives her the right to be so choosy with what protects her?
It isn't fair to him...
"Your sword is... pretty."
There's nothing but silence. She doesn't think she's heard him, but it's all right. She really didn't think she'd get an answer.
"It isn't unusual to be intimidated by the release of a zanpakutou," he replies after a moment.
"Intimidated?" She's curious about the new word, but she'll save it for later.
"There was fear in your eyes, even if you did not notice."
She looks towards the ground. How terrible. To associate him with Marluxia, even after the fact, when he's done nothing to her. "Is that why you haven't used it?"
The silence between them is far greater, heavier than before, until he decides to break it. "What nonsense. Using shikai on these foot soldiers is a waste of time and energy. I have no need for it."
She lifts her blue eyes to his back and lets a tiny smile through. "Thank you."
This time he really doesn't say anything, but it's enough.
