Halloween post!
Yep, I'm early, but whatever.
Anyone in the HRM area looking for something to do tomorrow night, come to the haunted house at Alderney Landing in Dartmouth! I've been volunteering (well, more like volun-TOLD) there for the past week and it's been pretty damn fun. If freezing. I've mainly been throwing the switch to electrocute a guy (which is AWESOME) so I've gotten some of the best reactions out of people. Upon seeing me behind the glass in my black cloak, white face make-up and sunken eyes, people have reacted with everything from "Oh god, it's smiling!" to "Evil! Look, it's got evil eyes!!" Apparently, I lose my gender in my get-up. :D And I'm smiling because I love my job. It's an evil smile. >:) So many people are so scared of actually coming fully around the corner once they see me, there ends up being this massive group of people hanging out in the corner and just peeking around the half wall. Wusses. The screams I get when they see the guy being electrocuted are worth it, though. It's rather disturbingly realistic. >:)
So, yes. Come to Alderney Landing. I'll be there, freezing my robed ass off and screaming my voice out (what's left of it). It shall be fun.
And I'll leave you with possibly the most awesome carved pumpkin in the history of ever. It's a Cylon from the original Battlestar Galactica!!!! Yay!!!! :D
