Jet's new CD is kickass.  we got it for free from LRS this morning at the cricket store on poplar level rd.  last night, Paul got his picture taken with Ben Burnley...they also signed our CD jacket.  they put on it, "To Kenna, wish you were here!" at Paul's request.  I could have gone with them but Patience and I went out to eat at Bdubs and then to see Marie Antoinette, which was amazing...the dresses were beautiful, versailles was gorgeous beyond all comprehension, and the story was pretty accurate.  except you dont get to see any heads roll but oh well, its better to end it the way they did, with Louis and Marie and the children riding off into the sunrise, saying goodbye to versailles, knowing they are going to die as soon as someone recognizes who they are and that they are trying to flee the country.  im pretty sure i know what was intended with that ending.  everyone knows she was beheaded along with louis while trying to flee the country.  ending it with her looking out over the courtyard from the carriage window and telling Louis "I'm saying goodbye" was a better way to do it  because it fit with the rest of the movie, all about the glamour and good aspects of her life.  ending it without beheading her was another way of saying that it was good while it lasted, and her tragic life was too short.  i want to get the book now, all i know about her is what ive learned in the history books and from Alice's revealing lectures years ago in high school.

me and Paul are getting ready to watch scarface and drink some gin.  right now he seems to be destroying my dresser so he can make a place to hang one of the speakers..oh but that sounds so much better up there.  this CD is amazing, its ten million times better than their first one.  it sounds even better with the speakers nailed to the walls and shit.  i love saturdays.  and i love New Amsterdam gin, it's just as good as Tanqueray and half the price.  screw seagrams, gimme this stuff anyday.  we got a whole bottle to kill, along with a whole afternoon.
