Keep Swimming

Alright then. I just sent my sister off on her train back to Boston and with that my Thanksgiving is done. It's been a week of family and food and travel and drama but it wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been. Our meal went very well in spite of being gluten free, soy free and vegan (except for the turkey and ham, for which there was a replacement tofurkey). Phil was difficult to wrangle, my grandparents were their normal judgmental, passive-aggressive selves, my parents were controlling and cranky but managed to moderate everything nicely and it was nice to see my sibs, though my sister complicated things. Overall it was a massive timesink towards the end but fairly decent. My mom insisted on showing my grandparents the movie "Up" and that may have upset them I think, understandably. There were a lot of little things like that. It would have been nice to relax more. I wasn't nearly as stressed as the other family members would have been if they had been hosting however, so it wasn't so bad. Now I need to work because I have a big presentation on Tuesday and it's not ready yet.
