The description of her mother hanging herself in the sunlight filled barn was so twistedly morbid! Something a bit summery about the image and then so darkly contrasted with Sarah trying to save her!

Who did sh end up brain damaged?

Well, what happens is, if you're not that heavy--like if you're about 100 lbs or so (uh, 50 kilos?), your neck doesn't break, and what happens is you slowly suffocate. You lose oxygen to your brain --> brain damage. Sarah got in there in time enough to save her mom's life, but not in time to halt the brain damage. That's what happened to the girl on my psych unit--she's barely 100 lbs soaking wet. It's really sad too, cuz she's REALLY pretty and you can tell she wants to say something, but can't get the words out....

Seriously dude, I think I outta write down all the ways people try to kill themselves and screw it up.

Awwww!!! That was heartwrenching!! *rubs chest* This story is charged full of emotions. I'm haunted by this image of poor little Eden walking around after her drunk ass dad sweeping up his mistakes and broken beer bottles. And poor Mama, she was trying to defend Eden, even in her damaged state, that was so touching and sad. Seriously, I need some antidepressants now...lol, but seriously, wonderful work!!
