I think he really loves her...but he's still hell-bent on releasing the virus. So there's a conflict of interest there, which I'm gonna play up in the later chapters Hiro may be coming *cough*

LOL yeah, her calling him Adam...I just can't think of him as "Kensei," even in my pre-Adam fic, it's always, "Adam wearing Japanese armor." XD

She still has the power to hurt him. So uh, love? Well, kinda. XD

EXACTLY. I totally had your Sum of Dreams fic in mind when I wrote this: when they were together, Adam was starting to feel like a good man. He *was* a good man, Yaeko told him so--but then when he saw her kissing Hiro, all of that went away. Even though he *was* good, and he was trying his best, he still wasn't good enough, and that completely crushed him.

And obviously, because I ship Adam/Yaeko, I think there's still something between them, even if Yaeko denies it :) She's angry that he betrayed her father, but I think she'll start to soften a little bit....

Part 5 is coming! It's kind of disjointed at the moment, but yeah. Kisses, maybe? w00t! XD

Yeah, I'm v. v. happy as I said before! This is a good, good fic! I saw that too in the series, that he wanted to be the best and when someone saw him in that light, he found the strength to be good. Then well, twist. I do like series that show the poisonous possibility of love, that something originally pure and uh, heart-felt, could twist someone like that. So one of my favorite themes, ever!

Yeah, I think you're right, and you're showing it well. She still cares about him clearly.
