Shiny fandoms are shiny! Also buying stuff is shiny!
I enjoyed watching Inspector Lewis last night. I want more! Am seriously considering purchasing the UK DVDs, as they are cheaper and contain no editing -- apparently PBS cuts about ten minutes out of the broadcasts and on the DVDs, so they can fit it into an hour and a half. Hmph.
Yesterday I was talking about how there should be Lewis/Hathaway for Kink Bingo. Today I see that someone's written one as part of a double line (vehicular, aphrodisiacs). Hee. Yayness.
I am still jealous of everyone posting their bingos. Oh well. There will be amnesty. I can still write. That's what I keep telling myself, anyway, to forestall depression. The stories will be done whenever they'll be done, and people will like them just as much as they would have anyway. Plus, now I can write entirely random squares!
I had been hoping to write some today, but I ended up playing more Phoenix Wright. Two more cases in Trials and Tribulations to go. Perhaps I should write some Phoenix/Edgeworth. Or Franziska/Adrian -- that's a Kink Bingo gimme for sure, right?
lysimache bought me the new Professor Layton game. Because she [heart]s me. [heart]! When I am done with PW, I look forward to playing this game in, like, two days straight. I really liked the first one.
Also, uh, I bought a purse on the internet. I don't think I've ever actually bought a purse in my life; people have given them to me, and I've borrowed a lot of lysimache's, but I felt I should buy one. Because I'm getting tired of putting things in teeny tiny pants pockets, which then makes the pants fall down. Yeah, yeah, take away my Lesbian Card now.
Unfortunately, I am picky. See, I wanted one that was: cross-body, maybe about a foot wide, not leather (and not trying really hard to look like leather), not excessively femme-y, possessed of pockets and compartments and zippers inside and out, big enough for a Kindle, and, ideally, blue. (I borrowed a bag from Jen once that was all of these things except blue; it was on clearance at Target and the strap frayed completely off in two weeks.) I've been looking for weeks, and today I found a Nine West bag on Zappos. (This one, but in blue, which isn't showing up because apparently I'm getting the last one. I think there are still pictures of it here.) I wish it had a few more pocketses, but other than that I am pleased.
Hopefully this bag will hold up a little better, anyway. *crosses fingers* Assuming I get it okay, that is.
