Books and books and games.

Today I went to the library and got out the last Sword of Truth book. Man, those books have really gone downhill. Apparently at my mother's I still have the first five-ish of them in hardcover. I gave up on buying them and started checking them out of the library after Richard started having to defeat the Evil Communist Empire. Yes, really. I made it through the evil chicken, even. Plus there was all this horrible sexualized violence against women. I don't even know why I'm still reading. I think maybe I hope it will get better.

Also went to the mall. I got Jen some Camus (really, $17 for a paperback?) even though she is totally not supposed to be worrying about French yet and signed up for the stupid Borders member card. I have no idea what the benefits are except that they gave me 30% off that book and are probably going to spam me.

I am really really enjoying stealing Jen's DS and playing the first Phoenix Wright game. The dialogue is hilarious and the music in the courtroom scenes is like something from Street Fighter II. I think reality sort of interferes with my playing, because I'm all "Hey, WTF, Phoenix, you cannot present in court the wiretap that you stole from the witness's hotel room last night," and the judge is all "Okay, cool." But it's totally awesome other than that.

Goal for tomorrow: Play more Phoenix Wright. Clean the house. Um. Yeah.
