Pants
Today I have learned about pants and sewing machines. Jen bought a $15 handheld battery-operated sewing machine from Amazon, and decided that today she was going to hem many of her pants. So she did.
I still don't understand sewing machines, having never used one in my life, but now I know how to get the thread in one, which is I guess an improvement.
Also, I had forgotten how Bujold's Sharing Knife books had the weird intergenerational relationship squicky thing going on -- I was rereading the first one so that I can finally get around to the second, and ick. Other than that it's cute, though.
