What I Just Finished Reading

Nothing. So much stress.

What I'm Reading Now

Comics Wednesday! The last Comics Wednesday in which comics stores are actually receiving comics now that Diamond has stopped shipping new comics! Who knows what happens now. I have emailed my LCBS about them mailing me my pull (because obviously I want to pay up whatever I actually owe them) but they haven't written me back yet.

2020 Force Works #2: Force Works fights an army of Deathloks. Punchy punch punch. I hope the money I am paying my LCBS for this makes them happy. At least the team is decent, even though I really don't care about them fighting Ultimo. Or MODOK, who shows up at the end.

Fantastic Four Marvels Snapshot #1: This one is apparently the FF as viewed by Dorrie and I know they print these things in advance but having it set explicitly right after the Red Zone arc of Avengers v3 is MAYBE NOT THE BEST MOVE RIGHT NOW. JUST SAYING. Anyway. Dorrie goes to visit a museum about Sue and Johnny and it's very sweet except for the part where the guy whose family died at Mount Rushmore confronts him.

Road to Empyre the Kree Skrull War #1: I guess this is an Empyre prequel? It's set from the POV of Skrulls who are still hiding on Earth. Basically summing up all of Kree-Skrull history up to this point. I guess it's okay.

Star #3: Wanda keeps trying to help Ripley out as Ripley does weird reality-warping things. I think it's a really interesting conversation, given, well... all of the terrible things Marvel has made Wanda do ever since Disassembled, that now she gets to be the voice of reason. Ripley freaks out and runs away when Carol comes in, and Black Swan is chasing her because she still wants the Reality Gem. And then Carol comes back and I guess there will be a final showdown? Who knows?

Tarot #4: The last issue of this miniseries. Still pretty! Still have no idea what actually happened. Oh well.

X-Men #9: We are still on the weird plot where the X-Men are basically playing keep-away with a Brood Egg. And then run into the Kree and the Shi'ar simultaneously. And it's all very dramatic and then Broo... eats the egg. WTF, Hickman.

What I'm Reading Next

I might read something! I just discovered that the local library system lets me have an e-card so I can check out e-books from any library in this half of the state. Seems like a good deal to me. If I can relax enough to ever read again, that is. Read this entry on Dreamwidth ||
