2020 Rescue #1: Set after IM #3, Pepper puts on the Rescue suit again (in MCU colors, how... nice) to go get some DNA from Tony's parents to bring Tony back, because that's how science works, what the fuck. Also Bethany has given her an AI named HAPPY which you would expect her to have some... I don't know, complicated feelings about? Grief? But no! Anyway, the robots are holding Amanda prisoner in her studio but Pepper fixes that. God, this is stupid. Amanda refuses a DNA sample, but then they fight some Hydra drones together and Amanda changes her mind.
Doctor Strange #4: Strange does some surgery and fights a dude and Mark Waid definitely does not remember that Strange is supposed to be sober, whoops and also his boss at the hospital is a fellow sorcerer definitely supposed to be dead, but at least that's a plot point. Also people are trying to kill Strange by sending him demons to operate on. Luckily his boss helps him fix the problem with magic and then... mindwipes everyone in the building about it. I should not be surprised.
Excalibur #8: More of the warwolf hunt at Cullen Bloodstone's place. Who puts them up for the night and then hits on Rictor, how very dare he. But Cullen is also planning on betraying and framing them. Anyway, they kill all the warwolves for Apocalypse except the cute baby one, which I guess they are now adopting. Or, I guess, giving to Rachel Summers.
Iron Man 2020 #3: We pick up where we left off, with Tony and Arno fighting. Arno temporarily defeats Tony, more robots are rioting, Sunset finds out Andy was the mole and kicks him out. Tony wakes up surrounded by Arno and his parents, and Tony is like, what the fuck, also there's something really wrong with them, dude. Arno explains his plan: he needs Tony to join him and help him build a massive robot army because Recorder 451 is coming back, and why of all things about Gillen's run did Slott want to bring that back? I don't know. Anyway, Tony has disabled the evil transmissions and is lying presumed-dead in a robot's arms. What the fuck.
Marauders #9: Yellowjacket gets caught inside Pyro and there are a lot of explosions and what I presume is temporary mutant death. Except, wait, they just made him believe that, so really they still have him. And then they sent him back. Lockheed takes flight for Krakoa but they still can't reanimate Kitty.
Marvel #1: I guess this is a... weird anthology series with a Nightmare framing story? Anyway, first up we have Spidey, and then a very cute old-school Avengers story by Busiek (be still, my heart) where the Hulk comes back itching for a fight. Very very old-school vibes. It was cute. I guess next issue will be a Strange story because we all know he can't stay away from Nightmare for long.
Strikeforce #7: Strikeforce goes to Monster Island! Which is now ruled by Deadpool? And is also formerly Long Island? Uh, I think I missed some things. Anyway, the weird shapeshifters show up again and they're all on Svartalfheim now.
