Hello, computer!
Guess who has a 13.3" MacBook Pro! Oh oh, that would be me! It is very shiny, the screen is far brighter, and it seems to be able to pick up seventeen local wireless networks rather than two. The trackpad scrolling is going to take some getting used to.
(Time to figure out how to transfer 50 GB of files! Then maybe it will feel like it belongs to me!)
Also, none of my old wallpapers are the right aspect ratio. And I cannot figure out what Lion has done to obscure all the file hierarches. Hmm. Further investigation will be required. Whee.
[ETA: Bah, my PowerBook G4 is so old that I need an Ethernet cable to plug them together and the only one in the house is connecting the modem to the router. Hmph. No files for me tonight.]
[ETA2: No, wait, I need Firewire, apparently, and I have the sneaking suspicion that the G4 has Firewire 400 and the MBP has Firewire 800. I wonder if there will be any way to resolve this. *bangs head against internet* Does anyone know if there's any way to make the ports compatible? Are they already?]
[ETA3: I am really enjoying this computer and mostly I would like to wish everyone a happy new year.]
