Euge! Fabula mihi scripta est!

EEEEEEE! I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A REC. WITH CAPS LOCK, BECAUSE I AM EXCITED.

Anyway. Um. You remember how, a couple years ago, I wrote Miles Scortillusque (The Soldier and the Whore), a giant (okay, 50,000 word) Professionals AU set in the Roman Empire, in which Bodie is a Roman soldier and Doyle a British slave-prostitute? And I swiped the entire plot from a Plautus comedy? Yeah. That one. (I mean, I named them "Bellonus" and "Deomiorix" but they're still the same people. Also I have been told it's still enjoyable if you know nothing about Pros.)

tears_of_nienna has written me Amor Dormiens Cubat (Love Lies Sleeping), a short Bellonus/Deomiorix piece. Which by itself is completely MADE OF AWESOME but did I mention it's also IN LATIN? (She provided a translation.) AND THE LATIN HAS BITS WHERE THE WORDS FRAME OTHER WORDS IN MEANINGFUL WAYS AND IT MAKES ME LIKE THAT KIND OF THING MORE NOW BECAUSE IT IS AWWWW. Awwwwww.

EEEEEEEE. I don't think anyone's ever written me a sequel to anything before! I am so flattered! (It is not, oddly, the first story in Latin anyone has written for me; that would be the 2009 Yuletide when I convinced lysimache that what I really, really wanted for Christmas was awesome explicit BDSM pr0n in Latin as a Yuletide treat, and which she proceeded to write for me in the hour before the upload deadline. By the way, that is also awesome. And highly educational, in terms of Latin obscenities.)

So, basically: EEEEEEEEE. It's kind of making me wonder if I should dump Valdemar and try to write a sequel to Miles Scortillusque for the Pros Big Bang, because apparently that story, um, has a lot of fans. And, hey, you know I was wanting to do more research on the Empire anyway, these days...
