1. is college everything it's cracked up to be?
yes and no...
its wonderful in a lot of ways...I'm doing a lot of the things that I've always wanted to do and I couldn't be happier about them. Most days I never want to be anywhere but here. But I miss my old friends sometimes...and more than that, its such a concentrated environment that everything feels a lot more intense. When something painful happens, the only real escape is the dreamworld
2. what is the best trip you have ever taken?
Probably my spring break trip to St. John this year..it was just a really relaxing, good time with all my friends. Also, my trip to new york when i spent xmas in LI awhile ago...
3. if you could create any class, what would it be? (stole it from christy...but it's a good question!)
Well ever since I read about friendship being different in French culture, I've always wanted to understand the differences in friendship and relationships around the world. so i think it would be really interesting to look at the different ways relationships are treated and the role friendship plays for different people around the world. Also a class in Agee and Saussurean linguistics would be awesome (so basically...the 2nd half of lit crit)
4. what do you want to be when you grow up (do you still want to be a doctor)? how do you want to get there?
Im still not sure. But i think i want to be a doctor who works overseas..like in tropical medicine or something. Somewhere where I can help the people who need it the most.
5. what is the worst book you have ever read?
probably Pedro Paramo (this really weird depressing trip backwards through time through a Spanish ghost town)
or Chronicles of a Death Foretold
