The Party Friday the 13th @ Zubar
Friday night Shane and I went out to The Party for the first time. The Party started out as a club night in Denton but now DJ Nature and his crew have reloacted The Party to Zubar in Dallas.
We showed up around 11, the place was already pretty packed. The music was a variety of house, hip-hop, and pretty much any damn thing they wanted to play.DJ Select was on the decks, then after that DJ Nature and Price Klassen from Austin. All 3 of these guys played a diverse set of tracks and they held a solid crowd on the dancefloor all night. I did hear Justin Timberlake's "Sexy Back" twice though =) I missed Sober's set, will have to try and catch that next time. We had a good time, the crowd was superfriendly and on the diverse tip. I met some new peeps and saw loads of fresh faces. It was kind of nice to blend into the crowd and just watch the action.
By midnight there was a line 20 deep outside of Zubar. The Leks were there, Crim, Dan, Keith P, Tiny, and I saw my girl Jenny from back in the day, that was really kewl. Also had a blast shootin the shit with the birthday boy, Stephen R. I took some really bad pictures that I'll post later.
