A lot of people seem to lately be after my blood for being "bitchy", "indecisive", and "otherwise a completely horrible person". Now, I'm starting to wonder if it's because all of these peope I have a tendency to befriend are people with mental issues and rough family histories, or if maybe I really am a complete prick?
Hm. This will be pondered.
San Diego is an awesome city! Mattie and I visited Alley on Sunday, and we wandered around the Gaslamp District, the Del, and the Convention Center (sadly I did not see any comic artists I recognized) and even went down to the bay and did some shopping. There was a lovely caramel apple factory, as well, and Alley rediscovered a shirt she wanted Mattie to buy. May I please say, she was completely right, he looked devilishly gorgeous in that shirt. I found a mug with a quote I liked on it:
"May the sun bring you new energy by day,
May the moon softly restore you by night.
May the rain wash away your worries,
May the breeze blow new strength into your being.
May you walk gently through the world
and know its beauty all the days of your life."

It seemed fitting.
Our day in San Diego was perfectly completed by glittering fireworks, and Mattie and I driving home with Hot Hot Heat and Led Zepplin blaring (who both of which are completely foreign to me and I was chastised greatly). We were both really happy to see Alley again after SSP, and I intend to stay in touch with Emily on "Invisible Children". I may go down again during the school year to meet with her and perhaps try to catch Ben.
Speaking of which, Cierra is gonna throttle me!! I'm trying to write to her, but I always forget. I'm worried she thinks I'm ignoring her... gwar. At least I wrote to her a few weeks ago, and we talked before I left for SSP. I'll write her now, before I go to bed.
