He finds a hairdryer in the drawer, underneath the kettle, and then he remembers he doesn’t need it. They have nowhere to go, no schedules to adhere to, nothing but time between them.
“Right. OK,” Hoya says, voice limp, even though his face is heating up. “So, what’s up?” This makes Dongwoo laugh, but it’s watery and tinged with unease.
And, for all of Dongwoo's troubles and just this once, Hoya allows himself to unravel.
sigh i love these bits especially. this fic felt like a brief, chilled slice of summer (- w -) thank you for writing it!
ahhhhhhh, i really enjoyed this. i've been waiting for someone to write something about how they've changed since The Chaser and their unit promotions, and i really liked your take on it. i especially enjoyed the ending and the way Hoya is upfront with himself about the transitory nature of their relationship... it really fit with the setting and the characters, and was a nice change from the usual way relationships are portrayed in fic.
idk i wish i had more to say but i rly liked this!!! thank you so much for sharing!! :3
realistic relationships hardly have happy endings imo so i wanted to capture this in hoya/dongwoo's relationship. shipping them is a fairly new thing for me and i've never written dongwoo before so i'm glad you liked this even if it wasn't the most optimistic fic
