I decided to name my company Radegen Biotechnology following the tradition of my family to not name their personal business by their last name. My father was the owner of Cortez Finance here in El Paso, TX and everyone thought that my dad was "Mr. Cortez". Also, there is an Andrade shoe shop in New York City and they are super famous..
The name is a compound name that includes the last 4 letters of my last name and the first three letters in the word genetics. andRADE GENetics Biotechnology is what it would have been named if I would have used the complete words and it would have sounded even more self serving than just naming a company with my last name. Imagine, "Andrade Genetics Biotechnology has the best solutions for your cloning needs" would be a potential ad slogan and could be taken to imply that my genetic gifts are the best solution for procreation.
