At home right now, just finished playing 10 games of CP with my brother. We tied 5-5. Yesterday, after playing for about an hour, he said, “I don’t wanna play anymore. It’s boring. I keep winning.” Grrrrrr. It’s true. It seems as if he’s a better player than I am, and I keep wondering how, how?
I just got back from dinner with Kristina. We went kayaking on the Hudson River for the first time. We’ve been planning to go for over a year now and I’m glad we finally did it. You have to know how to swim, so we just lied. They do give you life jackets so that’s good.
I just been going to B&N a lot, sent my computer in to Circuit City and haven’t yet heard back from them yet. I hung out with Vidhi and saw The Odd Couple at Bryant Park, where they screen oldies on a big screen and people watch it on the lawn. Every Sunday, my family and my aunt and uncle’s drive up to Hunter College where my brother and my cousin are taking swimming lessons and we watch them learn for about an hour. I made extensive use of the video function on my camera for blackmail purposes when he’s older. We then went to Coney Island beach, played football, and then all of them (my brother and his cousins) went to play in the water, came back, got an earful from my aunt, and sat quietly in the car, all wet, for the ride back. The weekend before, we all went swimming at Sunset Park, which has a public pool. I still suck at swimming, it’s official.
I have gotten messages from people telling me to hurry back, and I greatly appreciate it. It makes it somewhat easier to go back and face Senior year. The panic attacks I got the first week back home every time I think about next year have subsided a bit. I’m slowly looking forward to it (is what I tell myself). Gonna go what That 70’s Show now. I love late night tv!
