Bloody uni
Well I've just had the second of two exams this year. Think I've got them both so thats a releif. WOuld be might disappointed to fail but hey there's always resits right?
Before I get uni\nerd mad this weekend I was working on the project when in the course of a very pleasant phone call with Jenn we decided to split up. Was actually a relief and I reckon we'll get along a lot better as friends. Seemed different this time so I reckon the death nell has well and truly sounded on that one. Am in NO ruch to find a replacement.
Oh and the weight loss I though would have ended last week carried on madly. Have now lost a stone in under 4 weeks. Am liking this new me, it gets pissed for cheaper! ;)
Word of warning, from this point on the post is uses lots of tech talk, pretty much nerd heaven. I know what I am! ;)
As for the project report I'm on course now. I have a solid plan for the weekend and intend to stick to it. The actual code I'm doing in work time 'cos I'm a sneaky fucker :)
Did have some serious fun earlier in the week though. Had the presentation on tuesday and I knew I was alone all monday so I went in and did my code at the weekend. Spent monday from about 10am doing the presentation booklet. At 4:50, 10 minutes before I was due to go home feeling good about myself the power went to the whole area (for at least a mile in two directions that I know of) I was a bit panicky but hell I do this for a living, I was sure I saved or at least I'd get auto recover. I took my PC home to get it.
AHHH FUCK!!!! Schoolboy error! I did'nt have it. Panic stations! Sat and typed like a gothador demon of old taking the piss out of people but this time was less fun. Managed it though. Took the PC back to work first thing to get some screen grabs and guess what. Fucking auto recover worked there. Was pointing to a server. I fucking hate computers some days.
Anyways I went to uni. Had to park about 15 mins walk away (I had half an hour to get there and work to do before) was halfway there when I realised I could'nt even get in. I ran back to the car and then to uni. Did the shit I needed to do and finished 30 seconds before the supervisor bod I needed to do the demo to walked in.
I started off showing him the booklet and explaining what I had wanted etc. Usual gab really. Went to show him my system, fuck me if I did'nt hit about 5 bugs in the first 30 seconds. I could'nt beleive it. I told him the main was still to be handed in and had'nt got through testing yet and he was ace. Said we'd do this later, looked at my report. Gave me loads of advice. Cool beans.
Crashed that night about 7pm and slept for 12 hours, night before I got about 10 hours. I was that exhausted after the last few days. (I normally kip for about 4-5!)
Take note kids do the work as soon as you get it, not just before it's due to be handed in.
