i just glanced down at the lower right corner of my screen. i shall now perform the ritualistic woo-hoo-its-friday-and-its-almost-time-to-go-and-i-don’t-have-to-work-tomorrow-happy-dance…
ok. there. now i feel sufficiently celebratory.
the tradeoff for getting tomorrow off is that i have to work sunday. only four hours, though, which is completely bearable. it’s been a good week. crazy busy with meetings and obnoxious continuing-ed classes and clients who ask the same unanswerable questions a billion times, but good. erik’s birthday tattoo is healing nicely. he remained casually chatty the whole time it was being done but afterward confessed that it hurt way more than the one on his arm had. of course, that one was done thirteen years ago so it might simply be a pain tolerance issue. it looks great, and he’s delighted with it. tomorrow i’m going to the county fair with jake to indulge my ferris wheel fascination. tonight i intend to have a replay of my evening yesterday which involved painkillers, cheap champagne, and trashy movies.
