What does it take?!

NOTICE: I'll be doing updates monthly from now on.

I don't understand this.

It seems that every time I manage to change my ways and provide a better attitude and experience for customers, new shit arises that completely catches me off guard. Never mind the fact that I was hauling heavy boxes of supplies for three hours straight, neglecting my break to make sure the afternoon team is prepared. It's like people don't notice how I work my ass off to keep this kiosk going, except for people that are in the know (Kroger employees, the Bank ladies, and my longest-time customers).

Today, while coming in to grab my paycheck and copy down my schedule, I was informed that I had only 30 hours next week because 4 customers complained to one of our new and awesome morning guys about me, asking for the Manager (Genet). The Unit Manager of the Kroger apparently went over Genet's head once again, leaving poor Genet the burden of relaying the information, as sparse as it was. They aren't specific with her when she talks to people in charge, and it is noticeably very shrewd business practice. It's like when Mr. Thompson was chiding me for leaving Dairy out for a minute, not knowing that I was just coming back from returning an extra milk gallon to the Dairy department.

In short, the customers that are impatient and hard to please suck donkey balls, and the managers, save for a select few that I have known the longest, treat employees like garbage.

On a lighter note, the main reason I haven't updated much is a lame one - every time I think of making an entry, something comes up or I get distracted. Go ADD, FTW!

On an even lighter note, Jess has started school again and has her work cut out for her, clocking into her studies with 17 credit hours. Ouch. I guess for both her and myself, we have to do what we can. it's been a long and headache-ridden week for the both of us, which we will bowl behind us at the Lanes tonight. :) We've been so supportive of each other during our struggles, and I can't thank her enough for that. She's been the most loving person to me. I don't deserve her. :)

On a funnier note, I've been having problems with my left knee, rendering me in constant pain like a certain Gregory House, M.D. Combine my stubble, sleep-deprivation, caffiene-curable headaches and one of my better managers saying that I "think like a doctor" while I let her inside my thought process about how I professionally approach my job, I could literally be a mirror image of House right now. ;P

Finally, Hard mode in Guitar Hero II is unfair. Damn you speed hike and orange notes! At least I've finally aced Easy and Medium, including the Bonus Songs.

Oh, and my brother's Christmas present finally arrived - a Blue Freedom V Wireless Guitar for Guitar Hero II! After the first attempt failed with an Amazon third party, I ordered directly from the manufacturer last week. Better late than never. :D
