The last month has been quite eventful. Looks like things are taking a turn for the better as the days pass further into my favorite season (the mating season for those of you who don't already know). Spent the day outdoors working in the sunshine while helping clear out a friend's backyard which had become overgrown with grape vines and berry bushes. I brought and used all four of my gasoline chain saws. Still trying to figure why I have so many saws when I don't even have a single tree in my own yard. Yesterday I landed a job as a draftsman at a HVAC place in Bedford, OH. Will be starting Monday morning. It is another contract job, but hopefully it will last longer than some of the recent jobs I have had. There is always a chance it could turn into a full time position. I found out my dad has been finally released from the hospital. He had been in about two months. Has been relocated to a new place on Detroit Avenue; not very far from where my sister lives. I finally sold my Chevy Beretta. It had been sitting in the garage with the hood up since late last summer when the engine overheated. Something in the engine warped, rendering it undrivable. I finally ran an ad in the newspaper, listing it in the "for parts" section, and found a buyer only a few hours after the newspaper was printed. I am still getting over ten calls a day from people interested in buying it. If I had five dozen cars with broken engines to sell, I would be in good financial shape. I wish I would get that good of a response for my downstairs property that is ready to be rented. I have been getting some calls and showing the place every other day. But I haven't found any acceptable applicants yet. So far it has been mostly unmarried couples with way too many kids or single parents with way too many kids. I can't understand how people can rationalize that a small two bedroom house will have enough space for two adults and four kids plus a few pets. Anyway, the timing is good for the place to be empty. I have been able to take advantage of the time off from full time work and make repairs and improvements to the property. Very tired from a long day today. Time to snooze.
