A new year!

A few thoughts and updates:

A new year! Hoping for a new start on things. My job assignment at Flexible Material Handling is now over. I finished helping them get ready for the show ProMat 2005 show and fortunate to have some time off between Christmas and New Years. During that time I decided to terminate my assignment with them, packing up all of my stuff at a time when no one was in the office, then leaving them a message that I am through with them. I still am staying on goods terms with my contracting company, Integrity Technical Services, who had sent me there. It was initially planned to be a 4 to 8 week temporary assignment. It actually turned out to be six weeks, two of them short ones. It would have lasted longer, but I was burned out by the end. Working 9-1/2 to 10 hours a day and getting paid for only eight. Absolutely no benefits such as paid holidays or vacations, so I thought it best to get out of there before I had a lot invested. There was an option available that I could have gone full time with FMH after four months, but they offered no guarantee.

So I am back to being unemployed again. I am even thinking about switching to a different career. Still deciding what I want to be when I grow up. Not even decided if I am ever going to grow up.

Hope all of you have had happy holidays. Wish me luck that this year will go a bit smoother for me than the past year.
