real quick, before i head out into the city..

i love my job.
i woke up with this really cute guy to talk to while walking to the bus stop.
walked to the museum.
got greeted kindly by everyone (as usual).
the first two hours went by fairly quickly (not usual).
tea break was awesome- we sat and talked about america's next top model and next and my super sweet sixteen and south park.... so funny.
the next two hours go by quickly.
i walk over to milkbar with heather (also half asian. also cool.) and we sit on a bench in the sun and talk.
jen my resident irish friend gets me a newspaper that has all the local happenings of the next two weeks.
i run up and down the stairs and open my doors over and over (with MY key. dude.)
& it's time to go. it was that fast.

i walked to the front gate of the museum (which has closed by now) and try to open the gate. i can't, but i turn around and thank goodness one of the maids was walking behind me. i laugh and tell her that i can't open the gate and she tries it... it didn't work the first time but worked the second time and we start walking towards the road and she tells me this great story about how the gate short-circuited at one point and no one could get out for quite some time and people were staring at them (the Irish have a way with telling stories... I don't know how to describe it). But she was so nice and when we parted ways i just felt like i had known her forever.

my bus ride was a little more interesting. the bus driver did not know how to drive. i sat next to a guy who looked like he wasn't going to be a bother, but oh. he was. at first he started sighing really loudly like he was angry that i sat there or something, and then he started to hum. ... it was a bit odd at that point, because i thought it was some kind of Ibitian chant that he used to calm himself down, but then i realize that he's humming that damned akon song..
"nobody wanna see us together
but it don't matter, no...."
and THEN apparently he gets a text on his phone because he looks at it and whispers under his breath, really lightly and in an accent "fuck you, bitch."
it was really awkward. i wanted to laugh/cry/run away.

i think there's mail in my mailbox. and i dont know how to get to it. eek.

pictures coming soon. i've been really busy this week. but i promise. it'll happen.

ITS THE WEEKEND.
