- amanda: "tom, do you have anything to suggest to these guys that are trying to pick up irish girls? you know, anything you shouldn't do when they try to pick the girls up?"
tom: "don't hit them."
- tom: "yeh, the comet actually delivers beer."
ensemble: "they deliver?!??!"
tom: "what country did you think you were staying in?!?!"
- amanda: "you have to think of disney songs and sing them.. but, they have to be in context... they can't just be random.."
john luke: "oh, look! a talking crab!!! ~UNDA DA SEA~..."
yes yes. i think that it's official that i'm feeling comfortable here.
today was my first day of work. and it was amazing.
my supervisor-in-actual-supervisor's-absence is this cool girl from canada, cathy. we sit up in the museum in an old room with gorgeous wooden doors and locks with keys that only belong in movies, and we do archives from archaeological digs. i want to finish them, because i dont want to do that, alone. i want to do more. when professor kelly comes back, i'm sure he'll have more for us to do. i guess sometimes when he needs someone to take notes on an excavation, he'll just grab the closest intern to take notes. sometimes he'll bring in neolithic stone markers and place them on the floor at the office. i'm reading through a lot of these archives, and he's supervised a lot of these digs.
i'm amazed at how comfortable i feel with it all. i can't wait to keep going.
oh, and plus we have tea time at 11. everyone stops what they're doing, and has tea in the museum cafe. it's pretty much mandatory. and i pretty much love it.
more pictures to come. i promise.
