Glee episode reaction to S3E05 "The First Time"

I liked the episode more than I thought I would. I still think the writers shoved too much material into the episode which affected pacing. I love WSS so the songs made me happy :)

Re:Blaine

Yes, I feel the tone of the scene would read differently if they had kissed beforehand. Yes, he's been drinking and he's a teenager...life happens and you mess up sometimes. I think that's all this was - yes, it was upsetting & uncomfortable but neither of the these two boys are perfect. But they try and talk out what happened with sincere apologies so I don't feel distressed at all.

I thought the intimacy and tenderness of Klaine's sex scenes were so wonderful. I don't honestly know if I buy the idea of them going essentially from o to penetrative sex but that's never specified. Plus, a first time can mean so many things...The Finnechel sex scene left me feeling so uncomfortable. It felt like pity sex - an obligation if you will. Here's the way to make Finn feel better about the options for his future and Rachel can make good on her mess up earlier which would be wrong yet sadly realistic.

PS - Artie, you are on notice! Seriously inappropriate no matter how nice of a moment you had with your cast there at the end.

Also, Glee, I don't buy for a minute that Lima has a gay bar. Especially with the way you portray it as middle of nowhere, small, and homophobe-central (which are fairly true). PS - I've been to Lima more than once unlink your creators. Learn to Google Map even :P Or that Finn calls his mom Carole. Or that Blaine is younger than Kurt - I'll give you repeating a year due to aftermath of Sadie Hawkins' dance/Dalton's rigorous curriculum - as their interactions don't really make me buy it. But, you definitely get major kudos for Tina this episode! She was wonderful and awesome and please give her more lines.

On a purely shallow note, I want to watch Kurt's strut over to Blaine in the bar & their dancing together over & over & over again. Lookin' hot, Kurt!
