I bought the airline.

Is it bad that all I could think of during the film's first scenes is that Jack finally washed ashore! LOL too much fandom. Also, Leo your face is super squinty but s'ok. The other main thought I had running through my head is that this is one of those rare Leo movies in which he lives...

I definitely noticed that they all pronounce Mal's name similar to mall/pall where I say Mal like Captain Mal from Serenity.

I would read so much backstory about all of the characters. Especially about Arthur and Cobb - be it gen or a relationship (pre-or-post Mal both have their own merits). Look at how when Saito is offering the Inception job, how Arthur doesn't leave Cobb although there's nothing better he'd like to do than walk away. I also have questions about the PASIV device. What sort of compounds are they using chemical-wise; seriously I wanna know the pharmacokenetics! And how sometimes, a character inserts the IV and drops themselves and other times, they're dropped by another. I know inserting an IV can be done quickly and easily, but they don't even look for a vein. Is this just practice? Why hasn't someone figured out a way to hide the puncture/mark that is left behind? I'd personally find such a mark on myself finky. Plus, tell me more about this military angle. I mean there's canon that both Eames and Arthur have military backgrounds! Or how is that Saito is such a BAMF? He bought the airline as it seemed neater motherfuckers :)

Pretty much I want all the fic. Fandom, where is the Arthur/Cobb, Cobb/Saito, Cobb/Ariadene (I blame this one on Snarry), Saito/Fischer?

This is such a lovely film in composition and the cast ain't too bad either. I loved Dom's pants in the Mombasa chase scene.  Marion is a breathtaking lady. Tom Hardy, you're a little broader than I like my men usually but your mouth is obscene. And your tattoos make me wanna do bad things to you. Arthur's wearing suspenders under his vest in the hallway fight scene! That makes the whole thing 10x hotter. I loved how well-coiffed Arthur is in comparison to how JGL wears his hair. I like the looser look better but it fits Arthur's character so well and I just wanna climb in his lap to muss it up :)

Contrary to how it seems, this viewing was not solely for my hormones. I caught little nuances I had missed before and got to pay greater attention during the second level as I could remember that the van was a dream.

Speaking of dreaming, I would love to see some fic or meta about the psychological implications of dying in dreams if something bad occurs that can't be weathered until the kick. Whether the team is shooting themselves or being killed by projections, that has to fuck with your mind. I can't recall any dreams in which I die, but even the small falls are intense. Plus, if you continually have to kill business partners that's gotta take a toll. Other things I wonder about include how much skill/knowledge do you need from real life to take to the dreamscape? Obviously in dreams, you can conjure up better weapons (see Eames' dream a little bigger, darling) and do things you normally cannot do but I wonder how that translates to the job. I mean I noticed Ariadene doesn't carry a gun, is that just cuz she doesn't think to arm herself or that even if she was armed, she can't shoot? Does being the dream fill in blanks if you have superficial knowledge about i.e. cross-country skiing like a BAMF or first aid skills?

PS am I the only one who finds the train quote more creepy than romantic?

jgl grew up to be a hotass, inception
