one more day
only one more day of temp jobbing to do...i ended up getting a job on the production team of a new feature film being shot here in edinburgh. its full time and the pay is better than i am getting now so i am pretty excited. it will last 8 weeks, with 2 weeks of prep starting on monday. i'm hoping all goes well and i get a paid position at the film fest to start in may, that way i could try and go home to nyc for a couple weeks in between. i've been missing it so much as of late, especially once my mom left from her visit here. it would be really nice to get a fix of friends, family, food and all around good stuff before the summer.
with only a day and a half of this stinker temp job to go, it certainly isn't going by fast enough. ive been in this office for 5 hours and am bored to bits. again, theres only so much internet i can look at before getting thoroughly bored...i need to know of more provocative fashion websites and other mildly interesting things to keep me awake. this afternoon i go back to the other office where im 'on calls', meaning i must answer phone lines and answer peoples questions about courses they want to take. too bad i am shit at understanding scottish people on the phone and make them repeat or spell thing out every time. i'm really not a retard i want to say but who cares as its almost over. the only sort of negative thing about this new film job is that abby and rob are coming over from nyc next week and while i won't be on the shoot yet i will be in the production office, leaving me with less time to actually hanging out. but danny has taken some time off from work so i know they will have fun during the week and then we can have some dance party action on the weekends.
i'm dreaming of some ankle boots, green kohl eyeliner, seeing 'maria full of grace' and valentines cupcakes with pink icing.
