To Whom It May Concern:
Please excuse my delinquency in paying the bail for the enclosed parking violation, number HA 00156743. As the sole administrator and box office manager for Imago Theatre, my last 7 weeks have been extremely busy. April 6th through April 29th was the concluding run of FROGZ, which has been one of the best-loved shows in Portland for the last 20 years. Almost every night was sold out, and I was working 6 days a week, up to 12 hours a day during this run. The last two weeks of March, we were showing an original work, Mix Up. It is not unusual for me to be so busy as to not have much of any time for anything but work during a run of a show, and this spring there was no break between the two runs! This week I go back to a more typical work schedule, for the first time since early March.
I was dismayed when the letter arrived at my home, reminding me to pay this ticket. In the bustle of the last few weeks, it had completely slipped my mind. Please consider allowing me to pay the original amount of $60.00. I promise to look more carefully for "Truck Loading Zone" signs in the future!
