Stanford Visit

Feb 12, 2007 07:00

Stanford was absolutely amazing. The architecture is beautiful, the trees are gorgeous and the people are all very nice. So this is what I did:

Thursday: After a two hour flight delay I finally get to the San Francisco airport. There I see Michael and Yuhao. We get into Yuhao’s amazing blue convertible and then go to In-N-Out.

Then we drive to Stanford. It was dark and raining but the campus was still stunning. Oh, driving through Palo Alto was also pretty stunning.

Friday: Lets see if I can remember. I wake up, shower and end up waking up both Michael and his roommate with my loudness. I think we ate lunch at Subway this day (though it could have been Sat.). So Friday was basically dedicated to the Stanford campus. Like I said before, it is amazing. This day we had dinner in the beautiful Palo Alto at a place called Pizza My Heart …or something. Oh, and then Michael and I got lost.

Saturday: This day was my favorite! Michael and I headed out early to San Francisco. When I was in Stanford and Palo Alto it just didn’t feel right. I think it was just too picturesque, too perfect. Perfection scares me, I suppose. San Francisco fixed this problem (in a good way). On our train ride to San Francisco I saw graffiti and got sooo excited. “Yes! Rebellious teens” I thought. But yeah, it rained the whole day we were there. I loved it though. I loved being under the umbrella with Michael.

So in San Francisco we walked around… a lot. We visited China Town which was perhaps my favorite thing in San Francisco. Michael also took me to Fisherman’s Wharf and to Ghirardelli Square, where we had yummy hot chocolate and chocolate covered strawberries. We then had dinner at In-N-Out, tehe.

Sunday: I woke up early and got ready for my flight. Then I woke up Michael. We went to the Stanford store and bought some things then we had brunch because I was sooooooo hungry. After that Yuhao and Michael took me to the airport.

Conclusion: I loved Stanford. What made my visit so great, however, was not the campus but Michael. I know, cheesy. There’s no greater feeling than waking up next to him. I love being with him and feeling so cared about. Hopefuly I'll be able to visit him again.
