The Asylum - a TS3 lot

Sep 26, 2009 14:38

I had a request for an asylum lot for TS3 by someone (I don't know who! They're anonymous!), so I went and put one together as per the official rules...almost. It does have two sinks, but you can always take one out if you like. Anyway, you can find the original rules here, or the TS3 version here, if you're interested in those sorts of things.

There's our pretty little nut house, just ready for your sims.

Overhead shots of the yard and layout.

I'm using the sim I made for bizwac for my tqc_anon asylum (which really isn't an asylum any more), and as you can see, the pool works just fine.

There are some creepy gnomes all over the place, because it's an asylum and the gnomes stare at you so disturbingly.

Look! The fireplace works!

Oh, no, it's not too close to the bookcase at all. What are you suggesting?

Everyone needs a fire hydrant in the bathroom!

And doesn't everyone keep magazines next to the loo?

The bedroom sleeps five, with a double bed just in case you have some inmates who want some rumpy pumpy.

The kitchen works fine...

but the quality of the meals is up to your sim.

They can go fishing in the backyard, too. It was slightly overstocked at first, but I think I fixed it up enough.

Gnomes are evil! And fireproof.

She wasn't very good at putting the fire out.

BUT the pool is handy, not only for swimming, but for extinguishing yourself.

There's no fire or smoke alarms in the house, but plenty of phones to call firemen...if you feel the need.

He didn't seem to be too happy about this.

Oh, you might also find some seeds out front, just in case you want to do some gardening.

And then she was immediately sent to put the fire out. I love how you can replace the burnt goods by clicking on them.

But mopping the floor to clean it after a fire still gets me.

If you were playing by the rules quite strictly, you could move the gates from where they are to behind the pond (though you may need to use moveobjects on to do that), and then back when your sim needs to get the mail. I don't remember what's a downloaded pattern and what's not, and apart from Lord Sponge, I'm pretty sure it's all stuff that came with the game. I'm hoping that it will appear as it does in the pictures for you! Everything is recolourable, of course, so feel free to change it if you don't like it :) You can download it here.

If I were going to play the asylum challenge by the rules, I'd send my controllable sim out to buy up all the books, and things like the rubber duck and bubble bath from the corner store, and not let the others out at all. But that's just me :)

lots, sims 3, downloads
