Hello! My name's Amelia, and I'm going into my senior year of high school. In my free time I like to write, draw, and follow the news.

I've been working on a story about the pre-made sim families called The Capp Family Legacy (despite the title, it is not a legacy challenge story). I was hoping some of you could review what I've written so far, and ( Read more... )

Just make sure to put any mods to the camera into the Cameras folder and not Downloads and back up the original Maxis cameras in case you choose to switch back.

As for suggestions for story titles, you need to look at the direction where your story is going and what you're intending it to be about, or if you're not at that level yet, then you still need to drop the "Legacy" in your title, unless you want to simply name it "legacy" or something like it.

For example, when I first started out with my story, Mikhailachev Manor, I had no idea what direction it would go; I was only interested in telling the story of one of the characters, whose name is Rasputin (I'd been inspired to write about him since he was a child and he was rather the cutie; still is, but for other reasons, heh). The main story does pass through some generations, but I never called it a "legacy", though I have named the 'hood itself Mikhailachev Legacy. This is the result of what the story is about right here.

I called it "Mikhailachev Manor" because it's a story about a family originating from Russia that had settled into America and spread their roots, but the reason that they moved from Russia is because they have a hidden family curse in their blood that their neighbors in St. Petersburg were none-too-thrilled with. Plus, it would have some sequels and prequels to go with it, so it made sense not to call it a legacy for a number of reasons.

So if you're looking for how to make the Capps family responsible for all of the current ills in your story, you might want to think about something along those lines.
