will wonders never cease
yep....twice in one week. hell....twice in one month. LOL
i'm now the official "Monday Mom" at daniel's school. YAY!! his teacher asked me yesterday if i would be able to come in every monday. of course i jumped at the chance. =) sooooo believe it or not, i'm going to be working on their journals with them. (if that's not irony *giggle*) that's how their going to start their monday's now. then i'll do odd jobs for her for about an hour. in january she's going to be starting to break them into groups based on their skill levels and start the reading process!! i'm going to teach kids to read!!! i'm super excited. PLUS...i'm thinking this might just be the 'ol "foot in the door" i was talking about. so yeah...good news.
last night i had daniel send an email to santa. i was shocked by one of the items he said he wanted. (a soft teddy bear) the kids got only about a zillion stuffed animals. i think i'm going to have to investigate this further. i was quite releived to find that i already had the other two items. *pats self on back* so anyway, you can go to this website and email santa. you fill in a bunch of standard stuff (name, age, and three things you want santa to bring) you can also write a special message to santa. this was daniel's:
i love this time of year santa, and i love it when you come to visit me. i'm really trying my best to be good. it's really hard. harder than school. but i promise i'll do my best.
how cute is that? i love this time of year. i get to use santa and the elves to get my golden child. *evil sneer* too bad it only works for 2 months out of the year. *sigh*
so anyway...back to the letter.
so right after he clicks "send," a letter back from santa magically appears. it's really cute. i swear his jaw was on the floor. LOL he wanted me to print it so he can show his friends. he went to bed talking about it and the letter is the first thing he wanted to see this morning. ahhhh....to be a kid again.
i've had a sinus headache for two days now. normally it goes away when i walk. not this time. grrrr... and i have volleyball tonight.
well...gotta go. i've got grocery shopping to do and laundry. *yuck* where can i get me some of them elves in the off season?
