The Landgraab Legacy: Chapter 24: The Best Laid Plans

Jul 07, 2010 19:35

With Mr. Mack now in the house, Miss Elly was quick to tell everyone she knew the news that she had given birth to handsome little boy.

Mr. Allan tried to instill the desire in his daughter to settle down, and grow up. She was now a mother, and that little boy needed a father. I think he had hoped she would call up Mr. Mack's father, but that was not what happened.

Miss Elly was determined to have a man who would stimulate her mind, not just her body. "We all get old, and our looks go. I want someone who can talk about fertilizer without giggling like a school boy."

She proposed to Mr. Morrigan.

To her shock, he turned her down. Though it was a big blow to her ego, the two finished the date with a trip to the movies. I won't even share with you what happened behind the stage curtains.

This picture speaks a thousand words about what happened that day in the theater, but none of them are appropriate for repeating! I was ashamed of Miss Elly's behavior, she was no longer a teen, and in fact a mother!

The next day at work I was called to the Castro resident to put out a small fire.

Shortly afterward, Mr. Allan paid a visit to see his son and his little grandson Scotty. He had the look of his father.

When he came home, Mr. Allan spent some time with Mr. Mack. He was proud to be a grandfather to such lovely boys, but he worried so much about Miss Elly. Would she ever marry? And now that she was pregnant with another man's child, who should she marry?

Before we all knew it, Mr. Mack grew up into a handsome boy. He had his mother's hair, but dark brown eyes that only Mr. Allan seemed to recognize. "My mother Zappa had brown eyes like that."

Even Mrs. Alesha loved spending time with Mr. Mack. She seemed to take the brunt of the care for Mr. Mack.
And what was Miss Elly doing you ask?

Disappointing. It was hard to accept that while she was pregnant with his roommate, she was making out with Mr. Adam!

Not to say she didn't spend time with Mr. Mack. She was a good mother when she had the time. Her garden had grown rather large, just like her belly.

And before we knew it, it was time.

Miss Elly came home from the hospital alone carrying her newborn son Mr. Morrigan, named after his father.

She actually called and met up with Mr. Adam for a date that very night! The two took a 'tour' of the capital building. More like she did some scandalous behavior in the Judge's chambers!

And before we knew it, she was again pregnant.

I tried my best to ignore her poor choices, and focused on inventing instead.

I discovered how to make a machine that allowed me to dig for treasure in our very own backyard!

The family complained that it made too much noise.

And Mr. Allan was very upset with me about leaving a huge hole that Mr. Mack could easily fall into.

The next day, without anyone knowing, Miss Elly invited over Mr. Seth.

She proposed to him in the kitchen! And this time, shockingly, he accepted.

The two were wed in the kitchen while Mrs. Alesha looked on in dismay.

Afterward, Mr. Seth went upstairs to the baby room, and looked at his son. I heard him whisper, "I can sense you are like me son." Evil. That is what I suspect.

It was so lucky for Mr. Mack that we all took such care of him because Mr. Seth acted as though the child did not exist. He was only willing to care for his own.

It wasn't too long before Mr. Morrigan grew into a child. It appeared he had inherited more then just his father's personality. He also had his brown hair and eyes. His love for logic showed at even this early age.

While caring for her sons, Ms. Elly went into labor.

And she gave birth to her daughter Mada. At first I wondered where the name come from, but I soon realized that she just named her daughter after her father, Adam backwards. Much like this whole mess!

The two newlyweds seemed to not mind in the least how strange their life was. All that mattered was their love of the large garden out back. Mr. Seth was interested in the life fruit that was now growing.

Mr. Allan demanded that a birthday party be thrown for Mack. "He deserves some recognition in this household!" He shouted, his eyes lingering upon Mr. Seth. I don't think he likes him at all.

Though I had saved many of their lives, I still seemed to be met with disgust by many of the guests. What is wrong with being a mechanoid? Do I not serve a purpose? Do I not save lives?

Mrs. Alesha spoke much with Mrs. Castro most of the night. She asked if there would ever be a chance of her and Mr. Castro giving another grandbaby. We soon learned that they did in fact have another little boy named Dominic.

Mr. Mack was a very studious, and quiet boy. He avoided Mr. Seth most of the time, doing his homework and reading.

Mrs. Alesha and Miss Elly did enjoy spending a time or two with him on the video game console. It warms the hard to see them so close together.

Mr. Seth spent most of his time with his son. He would not lift a finger for anyone, not even little Miss Mada.

It happened in the early morning. No one was expecting it. Mrs. Alesha went without a fuss, and was gone before anyone could rush out to say goodbye.

Mr. Seth had been using my invention table (without permission I may add) when the horrible deed occurred.
It must have scared him when he saw Mr. Reaper come in, floating across the room while the flames burned his behind.

Lucky for him Ms. Elly knew what to do. She saved his life, and warned him to work on his handiness skill before trying to build his silly monsters he raved on about. I think she finds it silly that he wants to create three monsters, like a game. I find myself afraid of what kind of madness he would create if given the chance.

All of the family mourned the loss of Mrs. Alesha, and then placed her ashes in the family vault that night. She will be a great loss to the family, much loved and much missed.

Later that evening Miss Mada grew up to look much like her mother.

The two were so alike, it was almost like Mr. Adam had nothing to do with it!

Taking his wife's advice to heart, Mr. Seth started to do nothing but research in his many books. This man makes me nervous, and I worry what plans he has for the family. He is insane and pure evil!

When no one is looking, he likes to torment his step-children.

Who could be so cruel to take candy from a toddler! And one as sweet and adorable as Miss Mada?

The news of the passing of Mrs. Alesha spread through town, and the Castro family was saddened by the news. She had been friends with all of them, even after they had moved across town.

It was a good thing Mr. Mack was there to comfort Mr. Allan. The two were very close, and Mr. Mack was the only one who could cheer up the old man.

But even then, there are times when he will hide in his room, typing away at the next book. It is enough to break the heart. I can only hope that whatever happens, the family continues to be happy as they are now. I will keep an eye on Mr. Seth to ensure that nothing bad happens.
