Gamboa Holiday special: the Summary
Episode 20, 'The stone of Winter Solstice'
*
During a space travel a Gob's spaceship, The Flying Tuatara, catches a radio wave of Red City's Interplanetary Informational Channel. It broadcasts a show about preparations to the Winter Solstice holiday.
Joan uses it as an excuse to tell Gob about the idea of celebrating Winter Solstice and how it ended up as one of the last tolerated religious holiday on SimEarth. She finds a fake Blessed Fir and some holiday decorations, dresses up in a themed outfit, and does everything she can to soothe her homesickness. Gob has hard time catching up with the idea of celebrating the change of night length on only a half of a Joan’s planet and why is it celebrated by wearing silly hats.
Unexpectedly, the Flying Tuatara gets in the gravity field of an unknown planet and is drawn to its surface.
The local population, called Juraj, needs an outlander to reach the most treasured artifact of the planet, the Stone of Winter Solstice. It controls the weather on the planet Jualari by changing the angle its axial tilt*. The artefact started malfunctioning, causing hail and sardine rain, making the Jurajs not able to celebrate their festival of Eternal Warmth.
Joan, still high on a holiday spirit, agrees to help. Gob’s disagreement cannot cancel the promise, so off to the House of Weather they go.
After a long walk in well secured tunnels the reach the stone chamber. It becomes clear why the Jurajs could not calibrate the Stone by themselves. The artifact was created by Gob’s race and only he can change its parameters.
.
After a short examination Gob makes an attempt to destroy the Stone. Joan stops him and gives high-hearted speech about importance of Winter Solstice. After marking that the artifact prevents the winter on the Juraj’s lands, she explains it does not matter as both of the holidays are similar enough.
Gob defends his plan and speaks up why he thinks the holidays and Jurajs' use of the artifact is nonsensical. After a short fight it turns out that Joan is able to make Gob not able to touch the Stone’s surface by her sheer force of will. Both of them are shocked.
They repair the Stone and celebrate with the locals. Joan tries her newly found abilities on one of the Jurajs.
It works.

Ps. The Kims, you still owe me a holiday drink for not putting a mistletoe joke in this. I still can do it.
* Or something. I failed geography at high school.
Author's note:
Posted a bit late as I had idea for this special in 23th of December and as usually I don't even wish best Christmas to my best irl friends, it was created quite spontaneously. Exactly for this reason I apologise if I overlooked some grammar mistakes.
Happy Hollidays everyone :)
