Starting again...

This is not sims-related, so don't panic. The Forests, Knights, and Bayberrys are all just fine.

I'm sticking it under a cut because I ramble on a bit...and since it hasn't got anything really to do with sims and I'm guessing that some people might not want my rambling to clutter up their friends pages when all they wanted were my sims.

Starting all over again...it's gonna be rough... )

Agreed! I found a bunch of timelines and outlines for a different series, and was very excited about it. I'd abandoned the project ages ago, but have decided to work on it again. I kept thinking "But who did so and so marry again??" And then I found a family tree. :D

I actually write a lot... or at least, I WROTE a lot; I haven't written much now in about two years (November excluded). About a month ago I was bored, and opened up the novel I began for NaNoWriMo last year, and was pleasantly surprised - it wasn't the kind of crap that ought to be binned. I kind of have to rewrite it a bit, but I am salvaging bits and pieces - lots of bits and pieces - and it's a very, very good feeling.

Good luck with your story! =)

I actually feel what I wrote for NaNo in 2006 is the best thing I've ever written. Last year's NaNo was a continuation of it...and now I just have to fill in the gaps in between. XD

Well, first off, like you said, some stories work with the sily/dark/crazy style of writing. Personally, one of my favorite writers, Philip Ardagh, writes like that. Atleast, the series I've read by him. But good for you! You're atleast giving the effort of starting over! I have many stories in my head... and some on paper. Some of the things I have on paper aren't very good, and I just toss them, but every now and then I find something that I thought was crappy at the time, and now I find its gold! And some things I find need work, but are otherwise fine. I do hope you finish it!
(And, 11,000 words? WOAH! I've barely made it past 500 before quiting... but, I barely ever get time to write on the computer, therefore have to write by hand, and I usually run out of paper.)

The story that I ran out of steam for last nano (and still haven't managed to pick up again) was about 30k. 2005's novel is...too childish in parts and too adult in other parts. That one ran over 52k, sooo....restarting at 11k isn't too bad for me. XD
