(no subject)
I'm going to try biking to work today! The only thing that really bothers me is the idea of my computer and my great big monster lock from hell cohabitating in my backpack, but then, perhaps I don't really need the computer at all anyhow. I'm just scheduling site visits for the schools into which we have the larger shows booked. I can probably just use someone's desktop there. (I'm unclear as to why I couldn't just get all the contact info and schedule this stuff from home. I have a telephone afterall.) Yeah. That sounds like a plan - carrying nine pounds of laptop is superfluous.
When I bought the laptop, I wanted it to be as close to desktop performance as I could get, and it was for touring, you know, in a truck, so the nine pounds of laptop didn't bother me. Now, if I'm going to be biking to work with any sort of regularlity, I wish I'd gotten something smaller! I guess it's time to switch to mac...
