Winterfell Family Trees and Biographies
I thought it was time to make a reference post to help everyone (and me!) keep track of who's who in Winterfell. If I figure out how, I'll link to it from my main page, and try to keep it current as time goes on. Warning - pictures may sometimes contain slight spoilers, since they reflect the current state of my game.
Burkett Family
Leone Burkett was an original member of Winterfell. She moved with her brother, Van, to get away from Sim City where she'd been through a messy divorce. She founded a very successful home business, propelling her and her family to the position of wealthiest family in Winterfell in a few short years. Leone and Van adopted Alvin together from the Winterfell orphanage. Leone made the most of her short time in Winterfell, wooing several men (Lou Haynes, Glen Thigpen, and Corey Futa) with a minimum of drama. At the end of her life, she had settled down with Lou exclusively, though they never made any formal commitment. She and Van died of old age (69 years old) on the very same day. Van Burkett came to Winterfell with Leone, his sister, to escape the painful memories of his late wife. Always a quiet type, he never made many waves in Winterfell, but he did contribute to the success of the Burkett business, and was a loving parent to Alvin. He was romantically involved with Marilyn LeTourneau (nee Koepple) for a time, but that relationship officially ended when Marilyn decided to marry a much younger man for money and security. Alvin Burkett is something of a mysterious figure in Winterfell. Nothing is known of his background prior to being adopted as a child, though Leone tried to find information before she died. After Leone and Van died, he created many robots to keep him company, and a servo named Jonathan to run things while he went off to college. Koepple Family
Marilyn LeTourneau (nee Koepple) was left in charge of her five granddaughters after her daughter and her boyfriend were killed in a motorcycle accident. She moved the whole clan to Winterfell, where they struggled for years to make ends meet and to keep the family together. Marilyn fell in love with Van Burkett, and dated him for a while until she realized that Ria would never have the freedom to go to college unless things changed drastically. She made the difficult decision to marry Ian LeTourneau, a young townie, so that the girls would be provided for in case of her death. She died of old age with Rochell as a witness. Ian LeTourneau must have loved Marilyn very much - it's the only explanation for why a 20 something young man would attach himself to a poor old woman with five dependent grandchildren. He never tried to play the stepfather role, sensing correctly that his input on child rearing would be appreciated by no one. He really, really hates it when his neighbors spy on him with their telescopes. Currently, he's living with Rochell, Anabel, and their daughter Marcelene, while romancing several sims at once. Belva Koepple is the oldest of the Koepple triplets, and the quietest. She studied hard in high school, and started to make some friends just before graduating. She attended Academie Le Tour with her sister Nevada, Shena Thigpen, and Melanie Lind the cheerleader in Winterfell's Greek House. She recently moved out of the family home to start her life with townie Cale Nott. (Knowledge, Virgo, LTW Criminal Mastermind).

Anabel Koepple is the youngest triplet, and the least mature. She chose not to attend college with her sisters, insisting that she didn't need higher education to achieve her dream of attending parties for a living. She had an ill-advised fling with Eli Haynes, losing her virginity and breaking his heart in the process. Though irresponsible and frustrating, she doesn't lack for friends due to her charismatic nature. She claims not to know the father of her daughter, Marcelene, but she confessed to Ian that she was his. (Pleasure, Cancer, LTW Professional Party Guest).

Ria Ebadi (nee Koepple) was a teenager when her mother died, and she was saddled with a heavy load of responsibilty for her four younger sisters. She mainly studied and worried all throughout high school. She was allowed to attend Academie Le Tour on several scholarships after Marilyn married Ian LeTourneau and no longer needed her help on a daily basis. While there, she founded the Greek House with Bob Thigpen, and majored in Physics. She fell in love with Amar, and married him shortly after returning to Winterfell. She spent a very short time as a vampire just before and after the wedding. She had her first child, Eliseo, shortly after her marriage. Marguerite Thigpen moved with her son and daughter to Winterfell at its inception. She never really found her niche, and spent most of her days there painting and worrying about money. She was the first resident to be taken by the Grim Reaper - right after returning home from her low paying job. She was only 65. Her ghost haunts the Thigpen house, sometimes vengefully. Lise Thigpen has been driven since day one to become the Chief of Staff at the local hospital. She recently fulfilled that dream, and is at a bit of a loss for what to do now. She and her husband, Glen, have a thriving woohoo life, but their schedules rarely allow them to do much talking. She is close with her daughter, Shena, but has little relationship with her son, Bob. She was furious with Glen for flirting shamelessly at Shena's wedding with Anabel Koepple, but it turns out he was pregnant at the time and a bit out of his mind. His longest standing feud is with Emanuel, his brother-in-law. He can't seem to hold a job for more than a year or two before being fired. He is a doting father to Shena and Bob, however. Bob Thigpen is the oldest child of Glen and Lise. He attended Academie Le Tour, where he roomed with Ria Koepple and founded the college's first and only Greek House. He loves to party and flirt with pretty girls. While in college, he had a fling with Melanie the cheerleader, before inviting her to join the Greek House and keep it going after his graduation. He had moved back in with his parents in Winterfell, but he recently struck out on his own with his family. He is married to Tracy Thigpen, a townie, and they have two daughters. Tracy Thigpen met and married Bob after he moved back to Winterfell from college. She doesn't get along well with her mother in law, Lise. (Popularity, Leo, LTW General)

Band House
Shena Haynes(nee Thigpen) also attended Academie Le Tour, and joined the Greek House founded by her brother. Shena is driven, like her mother, but her energies are focused on something entirely different. She plays the guitar in a punk rock band she founded called Xi Centauri, with Nevada Koepple on bass. She is a born leader, and friends with almost everyone in town. Before leaving for college, she had a brief but intense relationship with Eli Haynes. They were apart for years, before becoming engaged on the night of Eli's graduation. They have married and now live with Nevada on the other side of town. She recently had twins Abe and Eleanore. Eli Haynes is Lou Hayne's grandson. As a child, he befriended all the little girls in the neighborhood. His teen years thus far have been full of romantic ups and downs. He fell hard for Shena Thigpen, his childhood best friend, but never told her before becoming unexpectedly involved with Anabel Koepple. That relationship ended as suddenly as it began, and he finally approached Shena about his old feelings. They dated briefly before Shena left for college. While she was gone, Eli began dating Rochell Koepple instead. Their relationship continued through college, until Eli impulsively asked Shena to marry him the night of his graduation. She has been best friends with Shena Thigpen since practically the first day of grade school, and the two have formed a band, Xi Centauri. Lou was involved with Leone Burkett for years until she died. He threw himself into working at his at home beauty salon, where he tried his best to make his customers beautiful. Lou met and married Cheryl (nee Rauscher) in a fit of passion. It was the first impetuous decision of his life, and he thought it was probably high time.
