The Fennell Legacy: Generation 4: Chapter 6
Raging kidney infection be damned - I still played much of this week in order to get an update out for you guys! However, I'm feeling pretty feverish and gross, so if this update doesn't live up to my usual standards, I apologize in advance...
In our last episode: Gallagher won the heart of Carlotta, the family's maid before passing away, Geoff went on his first date with Aggie Frost and Burrich was gifted with a pinball machine after deflowering the lovely Lizbeth Frost.
Burrich is an awesome big brother. He absolutely dotes on Alana and always makes time for her...
... for hours and hours at a time...
Patricia: I think I feel another bestseller coming on...
She's written so many! All of her books have been bestsellers and now that she's retired, this is pretty much all she does with her spare time. Still, it brings in a lot of income - she's publishing approximately one novel per day.
Shilo: "Oh yeah, I have an mp3 player!"
Yes. Yes, you do. And you always insist on going to turn it on just as you're about to miss the school bus.
Keiran. He's a pampered kitty who doesn't work, just lazes around all day in the flowerbeds, thinking about kitty stuff. Like fish.
The lovely Tantalum by racing_oatmeal dropped by seemingly just to use the ballet barre.
Tantalum: "A girl's gotta keep in shape whenever the opportunity arises."
You make me look bad...
However, Tom by niloublue was much more sociable.
Gallagher: "I wear my sunglasses at night."
The entire family still do their part to keep the garden in order. Now that Gallagher has passed on, the oranges don't turn out quite so mouthwateringly delicious, but they're still tasty...
Alana: "You're the bestest daddy in the whole wide world!" *eyes of worship and adoration*
Yup, Arden is pretty win. Alana has never had a moment's doubt of his affection for her, blood relative or not.
Gallagher: "Peek-a-boo!"
Burrich: "Not funny."
The first A+ report card is such a joyous moment. Look at that grin!
Alana: "Success is addictive."
Michael: "Do you think we'll see any ghosts tonight?"
Burrich: "I sure hope not. The stress and lack of sleep are killing me..."
At least somebody is getting some sleep. The ghosts tend to gravitate towards the children nowadays.
Bijou: "Boo!"
Shilo: "Gah!"
Patricia: "You're mistaken, son. Your grandmother isn't trying to kill you. She probably just wishes she'd had a chance to meet you in life. You should be more understanding..."
Alana: "Mommy! Help!"
Patricia: "What did I just say?"
It's hard to get sympathy out of Patricia on the subject of the supernatural. Enough said.
The arrival of summer has brought about a revival of the Fennell fishing pond, as well as a new way for Burrich and Alana to bond.
Don't let that confident smile fool you. He falls out every time.
Arden: "You sure are a pretty young lady. Oh my, you have something on your shirt..."
Lilith: "Don't touch me. Nothing gives you that right!"
Agreed. Unfortunately for Arden, he thinks all women in makeup are beautiful. Though he has no interest in actually being unfaithful to Patricia, he does admire all the pretty ladies who so often drop by to visit...
Burrich was accepted in to Legacyville University! See you soon, sweetie.
He still calls Alana every single day for long chats. He's about the only person who ever calls anymore.
... and speaking of Alana, who wouldn't want to call this beauty?

She's a very studious young woman, and with her 10 neat points her biggest priority is learning to clean the house more efficiently.

... so much pretty... I knew she'd grow in to her face eventually, but wow!
Though she hasn't managed to find a part time job in her chosen field, she doesn't like to sit idle. This girl has her heart set on overachieving. A part time job in a law firm should look good on any future job applications, am I right?
Arden is obsessed with fitness nowadays.
Alana: "You know what I love? Snow! Can we go on a skiing vacation sometime, Dad?"
Patricia: "You know it's summer now, honey. Maybe next winter..."
Remember in Sims 1 how you could go snowboarding and such? I miss that...
... I don't think she's all that upset....
Lilith: "Wow, your hair smells amazing! What product do you use?"
She's warmed to him. These two are actually pretty good friends now. No funny business going on either. Not a single pillow fight to be seen. He's the faithful type.
Arden: "I picked up a little something for you..."
Lilith: "A flatscreen television set? You rock!"
Mental note: Become friends with a super rich former mental patient and have him shower me with expensive gifts. I think I just discovered my own LTW...
Not content with having made it to the top of the law career and having perfect grades, Alana called the headmaster of the private school her brothers attended in the hopes of gaining admission herself. She'd spent much of the day cleaning and now it was time to prepare the perfect dinner. She'd never cooked before, but she figured it would look good to barbecue the catfish she'd caught that morning and show herself as well-rounded.
But will Holden, the babyfaced headmaster, be impressed?
Damn right! Arden even did his part by schmoozing the headmaster with tales of... crime...
Arden: "You haven't touched your custard tart! I baked it just for you!"
Lilith: "Can't you see I'm drinking my coffee? I'll get to the tart eventually. Geez!"
Arden: *finally gains some computer time to update his nature blog while Patricia is distracted*
She still loves to smustle.
Teddy: "I love you!"
Shilo has caught the fitness bug from his dad. He spends much of his time working out, jogging and ice skating at the Legacyville Family Centre. His dedication to fitness has even earned him the Hogan Award For Athletics. Nobody else ever skates, though. Apparently ice skating is notoriously unpopular in Legacyville.
Alana isn't so big in to fitness. She just likes to feel graceful.
Dolly February by shelbster93 dropped by to meet the family whilst out for a morning jog.
The price of overachieving.
Dolly: Oooh, I want that one!
You'll have to wait a while, sweetie. Shilo is still in high school, not to mention oblivious to your charms, but keep at it and you might just earn a place in this legacy.
Arden: "Is that a new perfume, dear? You smell lovely."
Yup, Arden finds Patricia smoking hot even when she stinks to high heaven. She literally just peed all over the kitchen floor, but he doesn't care.
I really have no reason for this picture. I just... thought Alana looked lovely...
The summer sunshine has even managed to coax Patricia away from novel writing for some fishing time. Win.
More win...
..... and yet more win. Chance cards rock.
... but the thing that doesn't rock is that Teddy is no longer with us. I actually choked up a little. He lived such a very long life and was so loved by the whole family.
Rest in peace, Teddy. You will be greatly missed <3
On a brighter note, Shilo went to college! You know what that means? Two pictures from now, this generation will be over.
Logan: "Arden, is that you?! How the heck are you, old man? It's been years! You're looking great!"
Arden: "Thanks, buddy. All it took was the love of a good woman over the course of a lifetime to cure me."
Logan: "Do you ever see Sunday?"
Arden: "Not really. She's dropped by to catch up a couple of times over the years, but you know..."
Arden: "Patricia is my whole world and I wouldn't give her up for anything. You can bet if I died, she wouldn't be immediately jumping in to bed with the first guy she saw. Not like Sunday. I dodged a bullet there, let me tell you!"
