Postcards From Pleasantview
Today I played the Dreamer family in Pleasantview.
When we last saw them: Florence and Dacia became best friends, Dacia grew in to a child and Florence was scared twice by the ghost of Darren's dead first wife, Darleen.
Daphen: "Are you sure that move is even legal, Dacia?"
Dacia: "I don't cheat. You know that."
Daphen: *is super sceptical*
Bowie: Is it just me, or is the roof getting lower?
Fresh from the beauty parlor, but with a somewhat guilty conscience, Florence called her secret love Jason Larson for a tryst....
Their love might be wrong, but look how big her eyes get when he looks at her! It would take a more heartless simmer than me to keep them apart.... and besides, who can blame a girl for falling for the local superhero?
Gypsy Matchmaker: Why does nobody in this town ever talk to me? I'm so very, very lonely!
Florence: "You're one of those vampires, aren't you? Staying young forever and flaunting it all night long.... You and your kind sicken me!"
Contessa Some Ridiculously Inappropriate Maxis Name Combo: "You could join us, you know...."
Florence: "Sicken me, I tell you!"
Florence: "Bowie, no kitties on the bed.... aww, forget it..."
Darren: "Does this book clash with my nurse's (totally aren't!) scrubs?"
Naww, you're beautiful. Don't sweat it.
Darren: "How could you let this happen to me?" *wibble*
I know, I know. I'm sorry, but it's the circle of sim life. Your eventual demise is necessary to the survival of the hood. If I let my old favourites live forever, they will eventually cause overpopulation and hood implosion. You understand, right?
Darren: "How could you?" *runs away in tears*
Dark picture couldn't be darker. Damn. Anyway, yeah, thanks. I'm sure a potted plant appearing in the night won't make her husband suspicious at all.
Florence: I'll just tell him I ordered it express delivery. He knows I used to be a florist. I can pretend I still like plants, right?

Dacia's room.
Social Bunny Jr.: Why doesn't she love me anymore? Why??? What did I do?? *sob*
She grew up and found more challenging toys.... it happens to all plush animals someday...
Chess is such serious business for Dacia. She always looks like her life's on the line, every single move.
Uhh, Flo... isn't that a little disrespectful...?
Florence: *whistles innocently*
Florence: "Aww, poor Bowie. Did you have a hard day at work??"
Bowie: Hug me now. Please.
Florence: "Damn! I'm lookin' good!"
Daphen: "I just know we're gonna be friends forever! When we go to college we totally have to get a house together and share everything!"
Dacia: "You mean if, right...?"
Daphen: "Don't you sass me! We're moving in together, and that's final. And after college, we're going on an around the world trip together and it's going to be just perfect, see!"
Dacia: "Yes, Daphen..." *sigh*
Why Dacia insists on being friends with Daphen is beyond me. She's always out of sorts and she's never nice to her. It's so puzzling. Dacia seems to enjoy being a doormat.
Another dark picture is dark. Which sucks, because I loved Dacia's homework expression. She's all wide-eyed and seems to enjoy learning. I think she's a future knowledge sim.
Florence: "Oh great, that vampire chick just walked in....."
Jason: "Are you suggesting what I think you're suggesting?"
Florence: "You don't quite get sarcasm, do you sweetie?"
Jason: "So where are we going in such a hurry?"
Florence: *long-suffering sigh* "To the backseat, stupid."
Jason: "Ohhhh." *stupid grin*
Darker picture than it seemed when I took it. Anyway, Jason left a piano. Great. So subtle. No husband would ever question a piano mysteriously appearing on the front lawn the night after his wife went out on an equally mysterious errand in town. Nope.
I couldn't resist. Florence makes such win faces! But this is totally her alibi for the previous evening. See, all alone, having fun, just letting off steam. Nothing to worry about. Plus, she got that lovely piano express delivered for Dacia. Yup. Nothing to question.

Florence was promoted. She is now a Science Teacher.
Florence had a good date with Jason Larson.

Bowie was demoted due to a bad chance card. He is now a Therapy Pet.

Dacia became best friends with Daphen Tinker.
Darren was offered a subscription to the Cuisine magazine. He accepted.
Calista Fuchs (a townie) promised to get Darren promoted.
Florence had a dream date with Jason Larson.
Darren discovered a star.
