Today I played the Landgraab family in Veronaville. When we last saw them: Amy had recently quit her job to be a stay at home mother, the family had just welcomed their secondborn - another daughter named Virginia and Marion had just grown in to a child.

Malcolm: "If only they stayed this little forever...."
Malcolm is a wonderful father. Despite his busy schedule, he always has time for his little ones...

He was right about one thing though. They grow up so fast!

He and Amy gave each other makeovers. Amy in particular was very pleased with how Malcolm's turned out, and was eager to show him just how attractive she found his new look!

Poor Virginia. Neither she or her older sister will ever be winning any beauty contests.

Still, she seems pretty content with her lot. Personality = Gemini 4, 10, 10, 7, 4
Nicer than her sister, anyway....

I think they look so pleased because they heard the baby jingle! Amy is a family sim and is eager to expand her brood.

Amy: "What the hell happened to our living chair?" *has murder in her eyes*
This is what happens when your daughter lets sweet little stray dogs in the house... *whistles innocently*

Marion: "This game promotes an unrealistic standard of beauty..." *sigh*
*whispers* .... only when you're playing it.... *snicker*

I kid, though. I actually have quite a fondness for my born in game uglies.

Malcolm: Damn! I am so good looking! *sparklesmiles*
Peter Ottomas: *strikes a pose*

Malcolm has been very busy making over the local townies. He's even earned his bronze cosmetology badge!

Marion: My first day at school went so well! I even brought a nice boy home! He was the only boy who didn't make fun of my face. I don't know whether he's just too well bred for that, but he came home with me, that's gotta mean something, right?
Aww, I'm sure little Prospero Capp is both too well bred and too nice to ever care how you look. Tybalt didn't raise no meanie!

They played catch until long after dark....

Phil: "Is it just me, or are the Landgraab children unusually ugly?"
Christian: "You're one to talk! You could kill somebody with that nose!"

Phil: *tries someone else* "Is it just me, or are the Landgraab children unusually ugly?"
Demi: "Pfft, like it even matters! Those girls are so rich, you'll be begging to marry them someday!"
Malcolm: *takes little Virginia's delicate ears away from such speculation*

Malcolm: I know they get it from me, Simgod, but please let them grow up to find decent men who'd love them even if they were poor! Please???

Amy: Great. I take one little nap and the housekeeping goes to hell. Seriously, is it too much to ask for Malcolm to clean up after his party guests?
I know just how you feel!

Malcolm also neglected to tell her he broke the bathtub and the repairman wouldn't be coming until the morning. Poor girl. As if her pregnancy wasn't hard enough as it is...

Still, it ain't all bad being married to Malcolm Landgraab IV, am I right?

Marion worships her daddy and sometimes chooses to sleep with him instead of in her own room. It wasn't that long ago that she slept in her parents' room, and she's still a little afraid to be by herself....

Virginia: What? I didn't drink the stink bottle... you can't prove a thing!

Due to raging blizzards, Marion had two snow days in a row. Still, she managed not to always be underfoot and even gained her first cooking point!

Marion: "Daddy, why can't I have a fish?"
Malcolm: "You want a fish? Gee, honey, I don't know. The house isn't really big enough for a fishtank, especially with another little brother or sister on the way..."
Marion: "Why do we have to live in this small house anyway? I heard you used to live in a big mansion before you were married to Mommy!"
Malcolm: "To tell you the truth, honey, it's because of Mommy that I sold that house. She just wasn't comfortable there. She said she couldn't stand hearing her voice echoing off the walls. And when you love somebody as much as I love your Mommy, you'll give up a mansion to make them happy..."

Marion: Pfft! Who'd give up a mansion? And where the hell is my fish??

It's all true though. Amy's a small town girl who just didn't feel comfortable living too large.

Marion: "Mom, can you give me a new look again? I still don't feel very pretty...."
Amy: "Aww, sweetheart. You're already pretty! But if you insist, I'll see what I can do..."

Amy: "What do you think?"
Marion: "Ugh! It's hopeless! I'll never be beautiful!"

Marion: *sigh* I guess I'll just have to wait until I'm older and use my money to get a buttload of plastic surgery like Paris Hilton did....

Marion: Still, at least my nose isn't as pointy as hers, so it's not all bad...

Not all hope is lost for Marion, despite her continued dissatisfaction with her looks. She spends a great deal of time on the phone to Prospero and the two have become very good friends.

Not to worry - Malcolm isn't even thinking of cheating on Amy! He's just enjoying a friendly evening game of marco polo with Emily Lee. Honest.

Malcolm: Maybe I should have been a musician instead of a bookie.... hrmm....

Sweet dreams, Marion.... I know it doesn't feel like it now, but someday you'll find the perfect simguy, be it Prospero Capp or some other....
