Monday 16th:
OH, hw, gym w/Ljuba.
Tuesday 17th:
school, studying, etc.
Wednesday 18th:
school, studying, career fair that went really well actually. People's faces kind of lit up when they saw my resume and all the experience I had. Back to Roxy's for top model and LOST. no studying.
Thursday 19th:
school, skipped all class to study. Felt awful about test.
friday 20th:
worst exam evar: I think I answered questions amounting to half of the points possible. No guarantee I got any of those right though.
Went to the gym cuz I needed to work out my frustration. It made me feel better.
Ben came by and I packed up stuff for Chicago and cleaned my room.
Went to Intermezzo for dins and ran into Chris Mullens and Suzy and then Ljuba so that was fun.
Drove back over to the city and ran some errands.
Went over to Lizzy's as James was having a little party. Did a power hour which was ridiculous. Hung out and drank more when the kids went over to the marina. Got pizza and was happy.
Saturday the 21st:
Up early to get dim sum. It was good to see everyone and greasy chinese made my hangover go away. Had adventures at failing to run errands then back to Ben's to nap. Tried to go hang out w/Megan but she had already left her house by the time I got there. Walked back in the rain. Stayed up late watching tv
Sunday the 22nd:
Frantic running around trying to get shit done and get to the airport. Watched TED talks on the plane and chuckled and felt smart. Missed the el by 10 minutes, cabbie told me he was superman so that was lolz. Met Ben in the hotel lobby and he has champagne for our one year anniversary. Got kinda drunk and went to sleep.
Monday 23rd:
Lazed aroudn in the nice hotel room for far too long. Enjoyed the view. We were right across the river from Marina City (aka the buildings on the Wilco album). Got a call from ARUP saying I had a job so I guess I'm moving to new york city for the summer.
Went to the Shedd Aquarium and enjoyed myself. Strolled back to the hotel via the lake and tehn through millennium park and saw The Bean. Took some pictures, felt tourist-y, and loved my ipod.
Went to the gym w/Ben which was fun andt hen up to boystown for a night out. We had dinner at Town Hall this awesome pub/cozy bar w/all vegetarian bar food. Asked the bar tender for a beer recommendation and was offered Anchor Steam which made us lolz. She was from San Jose. They had an open mic night and it was actually pretty good.
Wandered up Halstead to a few different bars, saw a drag show, scoffed at super weak drinks. They do measured pours there :(. Met a guy who ran the drag show and he took us and got us into an after hours that was a ton of fun. Ran into some of Ben's co-workers. The cabbie tried to rip us off but I knew where we were going and ben had gps on his phone and we called him on his shit.
Tuesday 24th:
Lazed around too much, went to the gym, failed on Metra and failed to get to the Museum of Science and Industry. Failed at going up Sears Tower cuz visibility sucked. Went up to boystown again w/Ben when he was done. We went to a delicious vegetarian diner called the Chicago Diner and flirted w/the gipster waiters. then back to one of the same bars form the night before for another drag show. Befriended some drag queens and wandered around a bit more then we were tired and decided to go home early (at 2).
Wednesday 25th:
Said goodybe to Ben and went to drop off my stuff at Chris's lab in this gorgeous building. I went over to the Field Museum and had fun there. Then up the John Hancock tower which was amazing. Went w/Chris and Suzy to a great Lebanese place near him then got a beer but I started passing out. Went back to Chris's and I did pass out. Wee :)
Thursday 26th:
Went to the Museum of Contemporary Art and saw a great exhibit on Buckminster Fuller then back to SF. Ljuba called and wanted to go to Castro. Called Gabe and he came as well. Had fun dancing at Badlands. I was talking to this super hot guy and dancing and making out. Finally he tells me he has a boyfriend and it's not an open relationship. I was very disappointed but then my super hot boyfriend pulled up in his nice car to pick me up and I was happy.
Friday the 27th:
Lazed about during the day. Went to Steric's for his birthday party. Decided to dress up. I got super super waste-y and danced around to everyone's djing. Had a good time :)
Saturday the 28th:
Was super hung over. Went up to the Pork Store for brunch. Enjoyed driving in up haight in the sunshine w/the top down blasting Madonna. Back to Ben's for more sleeping. Then went to Dolores Park to see what lights would go off in the city for earth hour I saw: The Bay Bridge, City Hall, Transamerica Pyramid, that high-rise on Mission, and Sutro Tower. Then went over to Alamo square to go to a party at megan's co-worker's place that Megan was going to dj at. Decided to drink again because I felt really awkward. Danced around a lot when Megan was djing as she was the best one. There were a ton of gays and at one point a bunch of gipsters showed up. Ditched the guy I was kinda flirting w/for a hotter gipster and was happy. Danced more and Ben showed up. Lots of people were excited to meet him since I had been bragging about him all night. The gay married couple that also lived at the apartment decided they loved us and got my number so we could hang out again in the future. I'm glad Ben got to come and enjoy the party. There was even alcohol left. It felt like a real adult party.
