Last night while I was at work, Lexi was IM'ing with me about making some donuts. I wasn't really sure if she was going to but as I approached out door, I smelled a faint frying scent. She had used the bread machine (handy thing, that) to make the batter and then fried them up in a cast iron skillet. Quite good. A little glaze in a bowl and some powdered sugar in another and we were good to go. Still have some leftover batter.
In other news, Eli broke his other arm. At least this time it's not my fault. He was kneeling on a chair in front of the computer and had his hands on the desk and was leaning forward and bouncing on it. I honestly told him several times to stop it. Then he fell sideways out of the chair. To the left so he must have twisted to land on his right hand and break both bones in his forearm. I hard the crack. And I saw the unnatural bend in the arm. He had stopped crying by the time Alexis was holding him in the van. We went to Petaluma Valley hospital. One of the nursed at the registration desk recognized the boys. The x-ray took a while to get done and it took Eli a while to wake up from the anesthetic they gave him. But we were home within 5 hours of the event. He's got a splint and we need to follow up with an orthopedic surgeon to make sure the bones are set correctly. One of them was just off by a little, the other was widely separated. Yay.
