I blame Queenie, she's the one to blame here!
So her painting "Mary Had A Little Lamb Chop" inspired me to write a poem, taking the beloved nursery rhyme of "Mary had a Little Lamb" and turning it into something dark and morbid. You try looking at her painting and tell me that's not where your thoughts go!
So I sent it in a few days after that wonderful piece came out of my brain to the lovely Queenie, and she read it and really seemed to like it, BECAUSE SHE'S READING IT ON HER SHOW! That's right, this Wed, at 7:00pm she'll be doing her usual live show with her man Hideious Boi, and at some point she's going to read the poem I wrote. How cool is that? Extremely!
So after I read her message telling me she wanted to read it on the show, well the little dam blocking all these creative juices just burst right the fuck open, and now I've got two other poems written and more waiting to be put down on paper.
When I have enough horribly transformed nursery rhymes, the kind you used to run around singing when you were five, I'm going to try and get them published into a book. that's right. A book.
The lovely Chelsea tells me that a friend of hers has a mom that's a publisher, and that she's always looking for new things to publish and put out into the world and so forth, so when the poems are done I'm going to give her a call and see if we can make this thing happen!
