Well it has been nearly a year since I posted at this journal, and so it's rather safe to say that the Barre legacy has fizzled out. I am very sorry to all its fans!! Not only had I lost general interest in it, but it was hard to find time to play once I started work, and then I got a new laptop and haven't installed Sims 2 on it yet, and... now that I am used to my work schedule and have time for video games again, I have been filling my free hours with Sims 4 instead! I love it. I love it a lot.
I skipped Sims 3 because I had JUST finished investing in latest Sims 2 EP when it came out and I was really really not done playing it yet. When they announced Sims 4 though, I realized I was ready for a new Sims game! Plus, I finally had a job and could actually afford it. Wooo, that's always a bonus!
So that's what I've been up to this year, Sims-wise. Other-wise, I got a job as a deli clerk at Safeway at the end of April, and have been working there fairly happily ever since. I made a pretty good work friend, and we've hung out together outside of work once so far, so I'm very excited about that. I'm not very good at the friend-making, usually. I'm still engaged to be married, but it's looking like the wedding might be postponed another year or so. I am currently unable to save ANY money towards a car, then apartment, THEN wedding, because I'm having to buy the food for our family of 4 on my minimum wage, 25-hours-a-week job. So. But in happier news, I've been trying to eat healthier and have lost 60 pounds this year and hope to keep it up in the new year. I've still got a long way to go.
So that's that for me! Thanks to
ivaristal_avtor for the LiveJournal nudge telling me to get back here and post something! I'm sorry it's not better news. I have finally joined the Simblr side of life, though, so you can follow my Sims 4 antics here:
http://java-creations.tumblr.com/ (I haven't started making CC yet, but I hope to) and shoot me a message and chat if you'd like. I'm around a lot more often than I should be! I know I'll re-install Sims 2 some day, but right now Sims 4 has me very happy.
