HIII EVERYONE! So I was making some statuses on my Facebook about renovating the Barre house for the next generation, and a couple of Sims friends I have on there said I should upload pictures of my progress! I did so, and figured that since all of you actually follow the family and read the updates, maybe you'd like to see them too! SO BEHOLD! A ( Read more... )

Happy New Year to you as well, and thank you!

Well, not five in a row, but 5 kids of the same gender total, yes! So there's going to be 5-9 kids, depending on your luck. I had to super-expand both my nursery and the children's room to fit all the beds and such! I just hope it was enough, haha.

I've just been thinking about putting a generation through college! I confused myself with my own rules a bit, haha. The generation yellow challenge is Sorry! where you need to pick 2 teen heirs and have them battle it out, so in my head I thought I would be sending gen yellow off to college to do that, but... generation yellow heirs are already chosen via dice roll according to Yahtzee/gen red rules. So the actual generation yellow's only "challenge" is to HAVE the children that will go fight it out on another lot. Then when the heir is chosen they'll work on gen green rules. Ah well. It's pretty good luck to have gotten all the way to gen 6/7 before coming across something I didn't think out as well.

So it will be the generation green children that play the Sorry! game, but it will happen during the generation yellow heir's reign, making it a generation yellow challenge... Yup, definitely confusing. But the gen green challenge is the one where you need to make a zombie, so it makes sense that the heir would be confused and messed up from his hunger games childhood, right??

I'm definitely open to more generation ideas!! I'd like to link them to a board game, though, and/or the Monopoly board. So perhaps the black gen could be like the Jail space, and the White could be Free Parking? They seem like they could fit there. Not sure about their individual board games, though.

If you just force a couple slap fights when they're kids, they will grow up to hate each other. In my Pokemon legacy I had two kids who grew up to have 150 fist fights by the time they reached elder. All but 2 or 3 were autonomous.

Well, the points come from the roll of a dice each time a fight is won, the number on the die being the number of points that goes to the victor. If that's too complicated, you can certainly assign a preset number to be reached (though I would choose something higher than 10, personally). I encourage people to modify things to suit them better. If something is going to be too confusing for you, or too tedious, then certainly feel free to tweak it. The entire point is for it to be fun!

Yup! You can pick your faves and make them dislike each other, or just choose two heirs that already dislike each other and have them go for it.

A lot of people have seemed upset at the idea of having their teens fight with each other... idk, in my game I have siblings who never talk, or actively dislike each other, fairly often so it didn't seem that outrageous to me. At least there's no fight to the death like the actual Hunger Games!
