The Barre Legacy | 4.2
The next installation of the Barre legacy, the very first family to play through The Board Game Challenge!
Last time with the Barre legacy, Mounds stalked Payday's new wife Pumpkin CONSTANTLY and was always seemingly trying to make romantic advances without ACTUALLY making any romantic advances. She was properly ignored however, and Pumpkin and Payday had their first child, a girl named Symphony Barre. To distract Mounds away from Pumpkin anyway, I set her to taking care of her new grandchild when her parents were at work, and starting a garden. GlaDos passed on, Payday and Pumpkin got several promotions at work, and Mounds got her gold gardening badge. Pumpkin got pregnant again, Symphony became a toddler, and Mounds... well, she became a plantsim.
Taking care of the kidlets AND a garden is really quite a lot of work, so I had Payday help his mother with her "let's leave Pumpkin alone" chores. I suppose I SHOULD have had the father teach his daughter to walk, and left the plantsim to do the gardening, but Mounds rolled the want to teach Symphony how to walk, and she's OLD, guys! I try to give my elders what they want just before they die, lol. We already established that I'm not letting Mounds have Pumpkin, so maybe raising her granddaughter is the next best thing!
Mounds: "*sigh* AGAIN you two start without me. :( I am so disappointed."
Mounds: "Just LOOK how flexible I am!! How can you pass on this?!"
As frustrating as it was for Mounds to be doing MORE displays of her flexibility while Payday and Pumpkin were trying to be a happy little couple, at least it gave poor Symphony a chance to sleep!! I do not know what was up with all the adults on this night, but they would NOT let the poor girl rest. They just took turns taking her out of the crib and putting her back in and taking her out of the crib and putting her back in. I actually had to to go into buy mode, use 'moveobjects on' and physically remove them all from the nursery, then LOCK THE DOOR so that they would leave her alone. Good grief.
HUZZAH IT IS BABY TIME ONCE MORE!
A baby boy, Skor Barre! He also had grandma Mounds' hair, and mother Pumpkin's skin, but he also has his mother's eyes!
*gasp* And what is this?? ANOTHER BABY! A baby girl, Caramello Barre! She has the same hair, skin, AND eyes as her mother, Pumpkin. You also have no idea how much pacifier rolling and rerandoming of genetics with the batbox I did just to get ONE baby with red hair. EFF YOU, MOUNDS, AND YOUR RESILIENT GENETICS. If I have two redheaded parents, and one redheaded grandparent, I should be BURIED in redhaired babies, dangit. But no. I had to reload 20 times (not even exaggerating) to get ONE. And not a single time did I get a skintone other than alien, either.
AW CRAP.
FFFFFFFFFF I am so sorry, Pumpkin. ;__; The plants were dying, and Payday was at work, and Mounds was busy with the kids, so I had Pumpkin help in the garden AND THIS HAPPENED. They need to put some effing warning labels on this pesticide, I tell ya. I expect this to happen after PROLONGED use, BUT NO! First-time, 2 for 2.
BUT DO YOU SEE HOW DEAD THESE PLANTS ARE?? They're supposed to be the same color as her! One of them actually IS dead, and the rest are darn near it. GARDENING IS REALLY HARD.

As Mounds was rehydrating, GlaDos came by to check on her and make sure she was okay. <333 GlaDos was too good for you, Mounds. You didn't appreciate her nearly enough once Pumpkin came along. I AM DISAPPOINT.
I am glad you are happy, Symphony, but since YOU, at least, are not a plantsim, it is not acceptable for you to be splashing around in puddles in the middle of the night.

Pumpkin got another awesome promotion, so I had dad actually do some baby care while she leveled up her logic for another promotion. Mostly Payday just eats sandwiches all day. :P

So, uh... Mounds is 107 right now. (I have noooo idea how she got that old, omg) so I thought it would be really funny if she had another kid. >_>

Aaaand... here he is back to eating sandwiches.
lmfao. It looks like he is making a grilled cheese sacrifice to the Aztec gods. The owl also looks overly interested in his sandwich, but that makes sense, since that is the painting that counts for me how many sandwiches he's eaten. I think he's around 110 right now. 90 more to go!
At least he's not completely lazy, despite spending most of his waking hours eating sandwiches.
Yeaahh.. Heath pretty much spends all his time outside. All of it. People bring him bottles of water and come out to visit him, but mostly he just walks around or sings nursery rhymes to himself. Not sure if I should feel like a bad sim parent or not...
Oh dear. No Heath, Mommy GlaDos cannot play with you. Please get out of the road. Now you ARE making me feel like a bad sim parent. :(

Caramello first, OMG SO CUTE. MY GOODNESS. Sometimes the short nose can grow out badly, right now she is ADORBS.
But Skor is giving her one heck of a run for her money! He's got those crazy cheekbones, BUT JUST LOOK HOW DAPPER HE IS. And he has his mummy's elf ears! I'm not sure if the girls do or not, I haven't checked. >__> *probably should do that*

Again, though, my human(alien) sim toddlers do need to stick to more indoor activities, lol. I do not know how they are always getting out into the garden in the middle of the night. There are stairs!

Hahaha. When Pumpkin and Payday are at work, Mounds gets harassed for attention. Yeah, getting harassed isn't fun, is it Mounds? Maybe you'll remember that next time you try to slip into bed with Pumpkin or just awkwardly stand there are stare while she makes out with tour son. I can only hope, anyway.
