The Barre Legacy | 4.0
The next installation of the Barre legacy, the very first family to play through The Board Game Challenge!
OH GOOD HEAVENS. So. I haven't played this family since June... I've been caught up in other things, and sims took the back burner for a while. I've been considering playing again, and figured I should get this entry all squared away before I did so. It has been 5 months since everything in this post happened, so I'm sorry if the details are a little cloudy to me. >_>;; I will do the best I can!!

Last time with the Barre legacy, Mounds became an elder, while most of the children blossomed into mostly-attractive grilled-cheese-obsessed teenagers. GlaDos' robots went on a rampage, electrocuting everyone in the household at least once, but there were fortunately no fatalities. There was a small bout of the flu, and our founder Chocolate, in ghost form, attended the triple-birthday of GlaDos, Butterfinger, and Payday. Many makeovers were had, and after a short heir poll, Payday was deemed the heir of the legacy!
As per the Board Game Challenge rules, the Barre family needed to change homes between the 3rd and 4th generations. I'm kind of bollocks building houses myself, so I picked a pre-made in the neighborhood and decided to just modify it for the family's needs.
I got a little carried away. >_> Though one of my objectives WAS to make the home REALLY EXPENSIVE, since the Barres already have so much dang money from the past generations' challenges. If you've got it, why not use it? So behold, this beast was created. The family worth is $888,960, and this beauty cost them $283,531. (Well, I TRIED to make it super expensive.)
Mounds and GlaDos adjusted to their new home quite quickly, each taking up some new hobbies as soon as they stepped foot in the door.
And of course, our gleaming golden grilled cheese heir Payday... went straight for the stove to make himself a sandwich.
I guess as long as he has his sandwiches, he will be happy no matter where he is.
Milky Way, however, was less pleased with the move. I got rid of her bed.
But I got the family a cute little friend! His name is Mountain Barre. :3
Oooh.. there appears to be a jealous bear sculpture watching you, Payday. He is sad that he is not getting cuddles as well. Poor dear.
The yeti lamp just doesn't look amused.
Then again, the yeti lamp NEVER looks amused. AND STOP THAT, PAYDAY. YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO EXERCISE. YOU ARE A HUNGRY HUNGRY HIPPO, AND HIPPOS ARE FAT.
Umm.. not entirely sure why I felt a need to have Payday be employed, but I suppose he is now. The main priority for him should be finding a lady friend who actually likes grilled cheese!
It's uh- It's not an easy feat, it seems. He was striking out ALLLLL over the place.
The first positive grilled cheese interaction he had was with his very pregnant sister, Reeses. -__-
Not only is she his sister, and massively pregnant, she appears to be a little crazed, as well. o__o Back away, Payday.
There was a little luck at the same little cafe though, with Cookie! (katu_sims) Her name would fit in so perfectly with the family. @_@ Cookie Barre! :D I can see it now!
But I hate to limit his options just because there are apparently far too many ladies in this town worrying about carbs and transfats. He found a couple more of the womenfolk who liked grilled cheese! This one is Pumpkin. (simsforaranya) :D
And this is Naya! (lovelyxwow)
Following the example of his great-grandmother Chocolate, Payday invited ALL of his prospective spouses over at once, to save precious time and not have the date them all separately. Also, so he can use that fancy "scope room" feature and figure out which lady he finds the hottest. 8D
Woo! And Pumpkin wins! Naya doesn't seem too pleased with this, though.
Payday: "Oooh lala! Pumpkin, you have won my lust!"
Pumpkin: *shimmies and shakes her booty*
Naya: "I will kick you in that booty. >:["
Cookie: "This is fun! :D"
Payday: "Jealousy is not attractive, Naya. I am sorry, we can never be."
Naya: "Ugh, whatever. She's not even that great. You are missing out, boi~~~"
This was about the time I got the first bill for the house and it was like $700 or something and I realized I hadn't bought any solar panels yet, lol. SO I BOUGHT A LOT.
GlaDos is enjoying her retirement on the fancy rooftop patio.
And Payday is not enjoying how many darn trees I put on this lot. 8D
He is enjoying talking to the lovely Pumpkin on the phone regularly, though! :D He calls her about once a day, because he's been working weird hours and can't actually hang out with her in person.
N'aww!! Skullduggery and Krackel are pals in the afterlife! SO CUUUTEE~~~
They are not, however, pals with Payday, it seems. :| Poor guy. He was just out raking the leaves, and these two ganged up on him.
But at least he has his grilled cheese! The only friend he really needs. <3
I think I took this one because it was pretty.
And this one because the penguin is trying to communicate the appeals of ice cream to a snowman. I wish you good luck, sir penguin, in your trials.
YAY! Payday finally got a chance to invite Pumpkin over so they could spend a little quality time together. :3

… no, Mounds. No, no. You shouldn't even be watching this, much less be checking out anyone involved. Shoo.
… this is not REALLY an improvement. Chatting up your son's lady friend while he sleeps is also kind of creepy. Shoo.

YAY! They are in lurve. :3 They had to finally get a moment away from Payday's mother to do so, but it happened!
Whooops.. I think Pumpkin is kind of getting tired of Mounds spending every spare moment with her. >__> Maybe you should back off a smidge, eh, Mounds? Or possibly SHOO?
Pumpkin stayed over for a LONG time. o__o I don't even know how, she just never left. I guess she was trying to make up for the first half of her and Payday's relationship, when they never saw each other and just talked on the phone.
YOU REALLY NEED TO STOP BEING CREEPY, MOUNDS.
Yeah, Pumpkin did EVENTUALLY leave. Shortly after she caught Mounds creeping on her again, actually. :P

Of the plants, mostly, but whatever.
Payday is doing rather well! Platinum lifetime aspiration already. :D Grilled cheese sims want for very little. I still need him to achieve his actual LTW, to eat 250 grilled cheese sandwiches, but it's nice to know he'll always be happy! :)
I figured that Pumpkin and Payday deserved to have an actual date, and one AWAY from the prying eyes of Mounds.
She just looks so happy. <3

I was trying to show off the cute wedding hall here, but OF COURSE I put the cutest stuff at the back and you never see it. :P Whatever, whatever.
I really can't get over how pretty she is. I could just take screencaps of her forever. *creeps on her like Mounds does* You make darn good sims, simsforaranya, just saying.
And after they enjoyed the rest of the wedding, and the reception (complete with grilled cheese buffet! :D)...
They came home to start their life together. :D
